Comparison:
Operating Systems
The first thing I want to point out are the operating systems, the HP laptop and MSI PC both
make use of Windows 11 while Lenovo uses Windows 10, these two are generally the best and
most used versions when it comes to Windows.
I wouldn’t say that there is a definitive better option between the two and it mostly comes
down to preference. I say this because there’s very little difference between the two versions
and some people prefer the updated Windows 11 but some also prefer Windows 10 because of
comfortability.

Memory
Comparing the laptops first,
Lenovo has a 4GB PC3L-12800 DDR3L 1600 MHz
HP has an 8GB DDR4
Surprisingly the HP laptop actually has the faster and more energy-efficient memory despite
being significantly cheaper than the Lenovo laptop.
Aside from HP having an 8GB memory as opposed to Lenovo’s 4GB, there is also their type of
RAM. HP uses DDR4 which is better overall than the DDR3L that Lenovo uses. DDR4’s power
consumption is only at 1.2V while the DDR3 is either 1.35V or 1.5V.
The lower power consumption of DDR4 not only saves significantly more power but it also
allows the device to operate faster without worrying about the cooling requirements.
Lastly is the PC’s memory which exceeds both the laptops making use of a 16GB 2x8GB, 2x
DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMMs memory.

Storage:
The laptops both have built in hard drives with HP having a 256GB SSD and Lenovo having a
128GB SSD SATA III.
The HP laptop has a higher gigabyte storage capacity with 256GB, but the transfer speed of
Lenovo should be faster as it makes use of the SATA III which operates at 600MB/s.
The PC on the other hand doesn’t have a hard drive built in but it does still have the highest
storage with a 512GB SSD, and it also has drive bay of 1x2.5” for housing a hard drive if the user
wants to.

Graphics:
HP clearly has the lowest graphics performance as it does not even have its own graphics card.
Lenovo on the other hand has a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 920A DDR3 which isn’t the best when you
consider the higher options nowadays, but it is still decent and can get the job done.
The PC of course has the best graphics among them all with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 AERO
ITX 8GB graphics card.

Display:
Starting with the laptops first, the HP laptop surprisingly has a larger display of 14 inches HD
whereas the Lenovo laptop has a 13.3-inch display but in terms of performance the Lenovo
would still look better with the FHD IPS AntiGlare LED Backlight display.
Just like the other comparisons though, the PC setup still has the better display as we are
making use of a completely separate monitor with a 1920X1080@75Hz IPS resolution.
Overall:
Overall, the PC is definitely the best in terms of performance but of course the budget is
something that needs to be taken into consideration before making the purchase. The laptops
are significantly cheaper but will also be a big downgrade from the performance of the PC but
when comparing the HP laptop to Lenovo laptop in specific I would recommend the Lenovo
laptop more. HP has better memory and higher storage capacity, but Lenovo’s transfer speed is
faster because of the SSD SATA III. Lenovo has the better display and has its own graphics card
as well.
Like mentioned before, it all comes down to budget and what exactly you are looking for, if you
want a complete setup that’s best for both work and gaming then the PC is your best choice as
long as you have the budget for it but if you’re just looking for something to use on simple work
tasks such as documenting, storing files and some entertainment but not really heavy on
gaming then the laptops are better for you.
