INSTRUCTIONS
At a corporate level, decisions must be made with greater care and caution. It is
said that the best decisions are the best informed. Good decisions are not easily
achieved because they need a previous, arduous and orderly mental process.
However, it is necessary to consider the specific circumstances at decision-making
and analyzing each of them carefully. Nothing a manager does is more important
than using the best available information to make good decisions. Damage caused
by a bad decision could be catastrophic to the organization.
In this activity, you will identify and analyze the impact of management level,
management function and temporal horizon on an organization’s decision-making.

Introduction.
The decision-making process is a fundamental aspect of everyday life and any
organization, from the simple choices we make in our daily routines to complex
decisions that impact the course of a company or even a nation. This process is
inherent to the human condition and is based on a combination of rational and
emotional factors. In a world characterized by increasing complexity and an
information deluge, decision-making has evolved into an interdisciplinary field of
study.
Various disciplines, from economics and psychology to game theory and artificial
intelligence, have contributed their perspectives to better understand how
decisions are formulated and executed. Effective decision-making is rooted in a
systematic process that involves problem identification and definition, option
generation, the evaluation of those options based on predefined criteria, and
ultimately, the selection of the optimal choice.
Throughout our lives, we will unravel the decision-making process in all its
dimensions, highlighting its vital importance in making informed choices and
achieving personal and organizational goals.
