Through a touch screen panel, the user is able to input the key component in- formation including Hose Type, Coupling Series, and Dash Size. From there, the system tells which crimping dies to install and sets machine parameters to correctly crimp the coupling. Verification can be made with a built-in caliper interface which checks crimp dimensions at four locations to confirm crimp diameter isin tolerance, Updates are made to the Crimputer software as new hoses are released and made available to dealers. The table below shows which crimping machines use the Crimputer. Updates are available on the HIS website: (https./his.cat.com/his/servlet/catld.ma, his. controller UserldentificationControllerServlet} Updates are downloaded toa flash drive from the website and then uploaded to the Crimputor via a USB port. Updates are quick and easy. Verifying that you have the most up-to-data software is as easy as comparing the latest revision shown an the website ta the revision information seen while the Crimputer is booting up. The Crimputer package is available on previous and current versions of the CPC325 and CSC6, The software has been enhanced ‘such that one software version is able to be used on all controllers to provide the updates as new hoses are released, The older-style CLC290 is no longer supported but the software remains available on the wabsite.
