ITS is capable of both ‘off-line and on-line programming, which simplifies stt-up, expands configuration of options and also assists in both collecting drive data and monitoring fault informaton ‘This Quick Refereace Manual is designed to help you begin using the basic ITS functions. This manual will help you load, start-up and rn the ITS program without going into deep detail ‘on all TTS functions. Ifyou require detailed information on al TTS functions we sugges you explore the ITS Programming & Operation Mana ‘To sucessfully use the ITS program, you must have basic personal computer knowledge and beable to navigate inthe OS® command structure. Hardware Requirements — The ITS software package requires the following Hardware to succesfully run the program: + IBMPC®,XT°, AT® or 100% compatible machine, ITS will alo work on most 80386 and 486 based machines. Ifa rogram does not work, contact Allen-Bradley concerning ‘equipment compat 1+ CGA\EGA or VGA video adapter card ‘+ Color or monochrome display compatible withthe video sdaptr card used + ITS must be installed on a hard disk ive witha minimum of 2meg available diskspace. +The Signal Converter supplied withthe ITS package must be installed before ITS can communicate witha drive. DO NOT use the DOS copy function or ater copying method to install TS. To Install ITS on another disk drive 1 Insert ITS Program Disk # into a floppy drive. (We will se rive A: for his example. Select program installation by pressing I ‘The INSTALL program will sk you where you want ITS tobe installed and will suggest a possible locaton 5. Press ENTer to select the suggested path or enter anew iectory path and then press ENTer. “The next series of questions help the INSTALL program setup TTS comecly. Each user Of TTS is assigned a username, confidential password, and Program acess. The program acces level is determined by @ person or persons wo are appointed as ITS administrators. A Aescription ofthe various access levels is provided below. 1. No Access ~ Persons who have not been assigned tasemame cannot use ITS. It will equie using the Escape key several times to recur tothe Main Menu if you are several layers deep inthe ITS program, Exiting DOS Shell: When using the DOS Shel opsion under the DOS menu itis necessary to retur to ITS from the operating system befoe attempting to exit the DOS menu. To tum to ITS type EXIT at the DOS prompt and then press ENTer. Setup\Exit ITS: The Setup menu offers an option that allows you to ext ITS tothe DOS operating system. To exit the DOS ‘system and return to ITS itis necessary to use the ESCape key.
