 Installation of the Software
[Please Print and keep handy while installing. Please follow instructions]

Important:
Please do not attach the Camera USB provided with the Microscope to the
USB ports of the Computer, before installing the Software

STEP. A

1) Run ‘Direct X 9.c’ supplied in the software CD by clicking on the Icon

as shown below.

2) Follow the onscreen instructions as they appear.

3) If your systems asks for Restart, please restart the system otherwise move
to the next step.

Congratulations on the successful completion of STEP. A

STEP. B

4) Open Folder ‘dgsoft ProMED 5.06’ in the software CD.

5) Run ‘Setup.exe’ from folder, by clicking on the Icon as shown below.

6) Follow the onscreen instructions as they appear.

7) Please uncheck and click finish. The software will finish the rest of the
installation.
 Click Finish
Uncheck the same

8) If your systems asks for Restart, please restart the system otherwise move
to the next step.

(Software for Image Analysis & Capture successfully installed)

STEP. C

9) Open Folder ‘Camera Drivers’ then ‘InstallShield’ in the supplied CD.

10) Run ‘Setup.exe’ from folder.

11) Follow the onscreen instructions as they appear

12) Restart the system.

(USB 2.0 Drivers will be Successfully Installed)

Only after all above steps outlined above are successfully carried out should the camera
USB cable be plugged into your computer.
STEP. D

Computer will automatically detected the camera and ask for installation for drivers as
follows:

Attach the USB 2.0 cable to the USB port of the computer.

Select No, not this time

and click next

Select

Click Next
 Select

Click Next

Click Browse button to the “Plug Play” folder in the CD and click next. The camera
drivers will then be installed

Click “Continue
Anyway”
 Click Finish

Your Hardware is now installed and ready for use

You are now ready to capture and analyse the images from the Microscope.

Use of Softwares
1. “dgsoft ProVIEW” is for capturing images
2. “dgsoft ProMED” is for performing various Image Analysis features on the
images captured by ProView.

 BASIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING THE
SOFTWARE

dgsoft ProVIEW

STEP A:
1. Open the dgsoft ProMED Software, Click on the Capture button which will open
our dgsoft ProVIEW software module for Image capturing.

2. In dgsoft ProVIEW , Click on ‘Camera Filter’ Menu Button, as shown below.

3. Select ‘Incandescent’ from the drop down menu under ‘Light’

Check the ‘Auto’ box under ‘White Balance’
and set ‘ Exposure’ to conform with the visual quality.

2. Click OK 1. Click Apply

4. In the same Window you can set the Brightness, Contrast etc. setting on the
live displayed image, as per your choice to conform with the visual quality
desired or as per physical visual seen through the microscope eyepieces.

1. Click Apply
2. Click OK.
STEP B:

1. Click Camera Pin Button on the menu bar, as shown below.

2. In the same window set the ‘Output Size’ as desired by choosing from the window,
Check “1280 * 1024” for optimal image capture. The image may be resized after
capture through the dgsoft ProMED software, subsequently.

Select ‘YUY2’ from drop down menu box under ‘Color Space/Compression’
 STEP C:
From the FILE menu click options or click option Icon on menu bar. You need to
manually change the ‘Captured Image Location 1’ to the following in order to store the
images captured, in the default folder of dgsoft ProMED software for analysis.

‘C:\Program Files\dgsoft\dgsoft Pro MED\Program\Images’

1. Click OK

All images captured now, will appear in the pictures bar on the screen in the ProMED
window.

Alternative/Additional Image Storing

You may also choose to store the same images in any location as desired by giving
different paths in the ‘Captured Image Location 2’ and ‘Captured Image Location 3’

STEP D:
1. When the dgsoft ProView software is opened it automatically detects the camera
and starts displaying the live image.

For start capturing images click on the ‘Capture’ Icon, as below.

Live image will be displayed on the screen.

2. You can start and stop the camera by clicking ‘Start/Stop’ Icon, as below.

2. You can capture the image anywhere by the clicking menu button ‘Save
Anywhere’ as below
dgsoft ProMED

The manual for the same is supplied in the Software CD in PDF format.

You may color correct images, measure , cell count, report and various other
functions can be performed on the stored images, with the help of dgsoft
ProMED software.
