Product Weight Chart

based on the ultimate load of the
product and/or on our veterinary
consultant’s recommendation. It is
up to the veterinarian to determine
the proper product, application,
technique and weight range to
utilize the selected product.
Strength
FiberWire has greater strength than comparable size standard polyester suture. Multiple independent scientific
studies document significant increases in strength to failure, stiffness, knot strength and knot slippage with much
less elongation1.
Biocompatibility
Extensive biocompatibility, animal and clinical testing prove that FiberWire demonstrates biocompatibility
characteristics equivalent to standard polyester suture. Over two years of successful clinical outcomes in over
one million orthopaedic procedures substantiate excellent biocompatibility. Biocompatibility, strength and testing
results are available upon request2.
Abrasion Resistance
The multi-strand long chain ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene core dramatically increases FiberWire
abrasion resistance. Surgical procedures that create bone edges, tunnel edges, and articulating surface-abrasion
areas are appropriate indications for FiberWire. FiberWire is over five times more abrasion resistant than standard
polyester suture.
Variety
The FiberWire family includes sizes 4-0 - #5, including designs such as FiberStick and FiberSnare that provide
innovative solutions to arthroscopic suture passing. TigerWire has a black spiral thread for easier arthroscopic
visualization, identification, sizing and motion detection. FiberLoop is ideal for multi-strand tendon repairs.
Safety in Numbers
Trusted by leading orthopaedic surgeons worldwide since its introduction in 2002, FiberWire has contributed
to successful surgical outcomes in over 1,000,000 orthopaedic procedures ranging from Achilles tendon
repair to rotator cuff repair. Multiple scientific publications have confirmed the advantages of FiberWire in
orthopaedic surgery1,2.

LIGAMENT STABILIZATION FiberWire
FiberWire is a multi-stranded long chain ultra-high molecular
weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) suture. FiberWire has greater
strength than similar sized polyester suture with superior feel,
smooth tie ability and lower knot profile. FiberWire is the ideal
suture for most orthopaedic soft tissue repairs, virtually eliminating
suture breakage during knot tying.
TigerWire®
TigerWire suture uses the same high strength construction as
FiberWire except that it contains a black marker strand in the suture
weave. This strand appears as a stripe in the suture, making suture
identification easier during joint reconstruction and soft tissue repairs.
3
FiberTape® and TigerTape®
LIGAMENT STABILIZATION
FiberTape is an ultra-high strength 2 mm wide tape using a similar long chain
polyethylene structure as the FiberWire suture. In addition to high demand
applications like AC joint reconstruction, the broad footprint of the FiberTape is
appropriate for repairs in degenerative cuff tissue where tissue pull-through may
be a concern.
FiberLoop®
FiberLoop is a suture option for multi-strand tendon repairs.
These small diameter looped FiberWire products, in 12- and
20-inch lengths, allow for strong multi-strand flexor and extensor
tendon repairs while reducing tendon damage from multiple
needle passes. FiberLoop is available with 17.9 mm tapered
needles to prevent cutting suture while stitching.
FiberSnare®
FiberSnare with closed loop provides an easy, one step approach to creating
a FiberWire loop on the tip of the Bio-Tenodesis Driver. Instead of using a
Nitinol wire, insert the stiff non-looped end retrograde through the tip of the
Bio-Tenodesis Screwdriver. Place the tip of the tendon or tendon graft into the
FiberWire loop and cinch the other end around the suture cleat on the back
end of the blue Tear Drop Handle. The FiberSnare can also be used as a suture
shuttle for passage of traction sutures through bone tunnels.
FiberChain®
FiberChain is a single-stranded #2 FiberWire suture that transitions
to chain links of interwoven FiberWire. It is intended for use with the
SwiveLock™ Suture Anchor.
FiberLink™
The closed loop on FiberLink is designed to facilitate the application of a
cinch stitch by simply passing the suture through tissue and feeding the free
end through the loop and tensioning. The loop length will ensure the loop
fully encapsulates the tissue prior to tapering down to the single strand.
The Open Ended Suture Cutter was designed to speed up the suture
cutting process. This cutter allows for quick and efficient suture tail
cutting under direct visual control through the same or alternate cannula
or portal. The notch on the side of the cutter tip automatically guides the
suture tails into the front cutting slot for an accurate cut from any angle.
FiberWire Scissor
The FiberWire Scissor was designed to cut any size or style suture, especially
FiberWire, in open surgical cases where an arthroscopic Suture Cutter is not
necessary. With its specially designed cutting edges, it can cut FiberWire
cleanly and effortlessly without frayed edges. The color-coded handle
facilitates instrument differentiation in large instrument packs.
FingerShield™
The FingerShield is a woven polyester sleeve with an embedded
radiopaque blue marker designed to reduce pressure-induced
lacerations to the digits of the hand caused by repetitive knot tying
during surgery. They slip right over sterile gloves when needed.
The tips are left open to allow pinch grasp of suture strands, while
still protecting the IP joint area of each digit. The soft, finger conforming
weave will stand up to repetitive hand tying during a case without
constraining the fingers. Suture slides over the FingerShield smoothly
and effortlessly.
FiberWire Tensioner
The FiberWire Tensioner provides controlled tensioning of FiberWire loops
during knot tying when reapproximating soft tissue. The blunt tip keeps the
knot in place, while the tensioning wheel and spring mechanism gently
tension the loop to tighten the repair. It is appropriate for use in conjunction
with #5 FiberWire.
6
LIGAMENT STABILIZATION TightRope
The TightRope CCL technique was developed to provide a minimally invasive method for extracapsular
stabilization of the cranial cruciate ligament-deficient canine stifle. TightRope CCL seeks to optimize the lateral
suture stabilization technique by employing bone-to-bone fixation, an implant with superior strength and stiffness
designed specifically for ligament repair, and a method for consistent isometric implant placement. As such,
TightRope CCL can counteract cranial tibial thrust, drawer, and internal rotation while providing optimal joint
range of motion.
TightRope Benefits:
• Bone-to-bone fixation
• Strength
• Minimally invasive technique
• Low profile implant
• Potential for addressing all abnormal forces

Titanium Anchors
LIGAMENT STABILIZATION
The Corkscrew® and FASTak™ Suture Anchors were designed to provide the highest strength possible
in all types of indications and to make technically demanding procedures simpler, safer and reproducible.
Built-in, easy-to-use features, such as laser lines on the driver shaft ensure that the anchor has been placed
at an appropriate depth and the eyelet is lined up in the correct position to pass the suture in the right
direction, are just a couple examples. Combined with the high strength characteristics and increased abrasion-
resistance of FiberWire, it gives the surgeon confidence during crucial knot tying stages where suture breakage
is virtually eliminated.

CAPITAL EQUIPMENT Arthrex CoolCut Radio Frequency Ablation
The new line of CoolCut radio frequency devices features an innovative ergonomic handle with
finger touch controls. The 90° versions have a unique shape that allows for maximum extension
from the tip of the electrode to the shaft of the device, while still fitting through a 5 mm cannula.
The new CoolCut shaft coating facilitates easy insertion through both working cannulas and
subcutaneous tissue.
The pioneering design of the CoolCut electrode tips makes it possible to operate the CoolCut
series at extremely low-power settings, thereby increasing patient safety without sacrificing
performance. The reduction of the power requirements also allows for the absence of a ceramic
ring surrounding the electrode face, reducing the size of the tip which aids in reaching target
tissue in anatomically tight spaces.

Chondro Picks/Curettes/Osteotomes
CARTILAGE REPAIR
The microfracture picks enable easier access to hard-to-reach chondral surface defects. Sharp durable points
enable repeated precision control and the gold-coated tips provide a frame of reference for depth. The extremely
durable handles stand up to repeated malleting when used to promote fibrotic response on chondral surfaces.
Ring and Cup Curettes and Osteotomes are ideal for bone removal in both open and arthroscopic procedures.
The curettes have long shafts to allow for deeper access within the joint, and the osteotomes have ergonomic
and durable handles to allow for repeated malleting.

CARTILAGE REPAIR Bio-Compression Screws
3 mm/3.5 mm Bio-Compression Screw
For fracture and osteotomy fixation in periarticular applications, this screw offers interfragmentary compression
and a headless profile to promote healing. Produced from solid enhanced PLLA and designed for excellent
thread-to-bone contact, the Bio-Compression Screw provides excellent strength during insertion and healing.
Eliminates – Metal screw removal, screw head impingement, imaging scatter
Self-compressing – Using a stepped thread pitch and a taper, this screw draws two
fragments together without the need to overdrill/lag the proximal piece
Headless and absorbable – With zero prominence above the cortex and
zero image on x-ray, this is as close to a natural repair as possible
Straightforward instrumentation – A simple low cost set ensures
proper drill depth and tapping with no guesswork
Fixation of small bone fragments – Femoral condyle, patella,

BIOLOGICS Arthrex ACP Double Syringe System
Autologous blood products have created a growing interest for use in a number of therapies. The healing
effects of plasma are supported by growth factors released by platelets. These growth factors induce a
healing process wherever they are applied. Platelet rich plasma has been used to enhance bone healing
in fractures, wounds, tendon and ligament injuries, pain relief, and reduced scarring.

BIOLOGICS IRAP II
Defects in articular cartilage can induce osteoarthritis by causing molecular changes in the synovial
fluid. Research in molecular biology discovered the major inducer of osteoarthritis was the general
inflammatory cytokine interleukin-1 (IL-1) which plays a key role in accelerating tissue destruction
and the repair mechanisms.
In a healthy joint, IL-1 and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) are in balanced concentrations.
In cases of osteoarthritis, there is not sufficient IL-1Ra produced to block the destructive effects of
the increased IL-1. The result is inflammation, joint pain, and eventually cartilage destruction.
In the IRAP II, monocytes (a type of white blood cell) bind to the glass beads. The cells are then
stimulated to produce regenerative and anti-inflammatory proteins without the addition of drugs.
This process takes place over an incubation period of 24 hours.
IRAP II Equipment:
Arthrex IRAP II VAR-1010
(Kit contains one Arthrex IRAP II device with dual ports,
one 60 mL syringe and one butterfly cannula)
Incubator VAR-1002
Centrifuge VAR-1003C
IRAP II Rotor VAR-1021
IRAP II Counterbalance VAR-1012
In osteoarthritis, IL-1 is produced in
large amounts and binds to receptor
sites on the cartilage signaling cell
destruction.
