1 Inspection
1.1 Open-case inspection
GW designed special environment protection material and packaging case to
ensure that laser can be shake-proof during the transportation, Even
though, in order to prevent the occurrence of unpredictable circumstances
in the process of transportation. Before opening the box, the user still needs
to carefully check whether the packing box is placed correctly, and whether
the outside of the box is damaged by collision, cracking and water flooding.
Once you find any abnormality in the external box, please inform us in time
so that we can deal with it as soon as possible.Procedures as below:

First : Please put the laser package to the correct orientation

Second : Open the cover plate and take away the foam

1
SMATLas 4S

Third: You will see the Delivery fiber cable with QBH on top (as show above)

Forth : Take the Delivery fiber cable with QBH out of case very carefully

Fifth: Move the Laser cabinet out from the box with two People , as show above.

2
SMATLas 4S

Sixth: Check the appearance of Laser cabinet and delivery fiber cable to confirm
there is no obvious damage.

set to 25°C with dehumidification on).
When dew point temperature ≥ water coolant temperature ,Laser will get condensation, water temperature
set to 25°C±3,QBH water temperature less than 30°C

4 QBH installation
4.1 QBH instruction
SMATLas series laser provide different type QBH according to customers requirement, typical QBH
instruction as below: QBH is water cooling with quick screwed 6mm diameter pipe connection.

4.2 QBH installation procedure

1.Take off the QBH top cover ,check the end face clean or not?
2.Align the red spot of QBH to the Red spot of collimator, shown as below:

Red spot

8
SMATLas 4S

3. Insert the QBH into collimator and locked, shown as below :

Note: Due to the delivery fiber cable (QBH/QD) is not covered in warranty, the
installation before the laser head (QBH/QD interface), please make sure that the
Fiber cable quartz surface is clean and no pollution, please during the installation
process for cutting or welding head will be dust proof method, prevent dust from
entering the optics pollution, non-professional technical personnel do not cleaning

5 Water cooling system connection
1,Customer needs to prepare dual temperature control chiller and pipes .Select suitable
water chiller and pipes according to the table as below:

2,Coolant needs DI water ,ion concentration less than 20ppm, not suitable coolant will
cause irreparable damage to the laser ,During cold dimate, added glycol in proportion
according to the ambient temperature in order to avoid to damage the chiller .

3, Chiller requires filter <100um,also with DI water function, avoid any incrustation.

4, The best water temperature settings around 24~26℃。

5,First time to start the chiller with cooling system, please check each connections
according to the labels of Chiller side and laser side ,ensure no any water leakage

Notes: When laser is not used for a long time ,the cooling system and laser inside
must drain all coolant away.

(3) Wipe quartz block end face

When found stains on the end face of Quartz block, Gently wipe the surface in one direction use
a clean cloth with anhydrous alcohol or IPA .
|
Note:

① Don not use acetone or other solvent which could damage quartz surface coating to wipe.

② Non-dust cloth shall not be contaminated with particulate matter ,otherwise it will scratch the coating when wiped.

③ Do not wipe the quartz end face by pressing it across a dust-free cloth with your fingers.

(4)Finish inspection,take QBH out

4.1 Put protection lens back
4.2 Take QBH out very carefully
4.3
screw the protection lens tightly
