Copy the blank template → here

In this lesson, we have learned how to structure teams and manage their work using a set of
values, principles, and practices with agile project management and the SCRUM Framework.
Now, to fully grasp the concept, we are providing you with a case study to solve.

👉 Please note that case studies are not a team activity and every case study is to be
completed individually.

Background
Spotify is a digital music and podcast streaming site that gives access to over 10 million
songs and over 5 million podcasts from creators worldwide. It offers listed content for free
and premium upgrades with additional features. Launched in 2008, it has 515 million users
and 210 million subscribers from 180 markets.

⚠️ Problem Statement
Imagine, you are the newly appointed PM of Spotify. Your objective is to launch a
feature that will increase their customer acquisition rate. Now, your task is to break
down the feature into bite-sized tasks and create tickets on JIRA for assignment to
developers.

● Break down the feature into bite-sized tasks in a document.

● Create a JIRA account.
● Create tickets with the tasks and assign them to your developers.

Please note that this case study is to facilitate your practice with JIRA and make you
fully accustomed to the tool.

✅ Checklist to the Solution

To begin, create a document where you break down the feature into smaller,
manageable tasks. These tasks should outline the specific actions required to
develop and implement the feature effectively.
Next, create a JIRA account if you still need to do so. Familiarize yourself with the
JIRA platform and its features.
Once you are comfortable with JIRA, create tickets for each task you identified
earlier. Assign these tickets to the respective developers responsible for their
completion. This will ensure clear task allocation and progress tracking within the
project.

Please note that this case study is designed to provide you with practical experience
using JIRA and familiarize you with its functionality. There is no right or wrong answer, the
primary purpose is to get you accustomed to the tool.
