Group Assignment/Presentation

• As indicated on the course outline/syllabus, part of


your overall evaluation will be based on individual
contributions toward the completion and presentation
of a group assignment.
• The assignment is worth 25% of your overall course

evaluation and is be comprised of two key
components.
o 1) Written submission. (15% )
o 2) An in-class presentation.(10% )

Group Assignment/Presentations
• Section 310-001 will have a total of 5-6 groups. Each team will be
comprised of approximately 5 students.

• Students will be expected to select their own groups. Anyone who


has not joined a team, MUST come forward and will be assigned
to one.

• Each group will select a case study from the required course
textbook. “Wiley’s Organizational Behavior 3rd Edition”

• There are a total of 17 Case Studies to choose from, located in


the back of the book in the OB Skills Section: CASES FOR
CRITICAL THINKING.

Written Submission / Presentation
& Expectations
Part One - Written Submission: Each group must carefully study their
selected case and submit a detailed report answering all the questions that
follow each narrative.

• Note: It imperative that your answers are detailed yet concise,


referencing all relevant concepts, definitions and principles. Answer must
be supported from course material covered during the semester as well
as external resources.

• All answers and discussion material must be formulated in your own


words. Any and all ideas, concepts, direct or indirect quotes must be cited
and appropriately referenced.

• Answers must be submitted in a Word Document. (Recommend 1-2


pages per question)

Part Two – Presentation: Each group will prepare and present a 10-15
minute overview of their Case Study / Findings utilizing a Power Point format.
• Each group member will be required to participate in the delivery (equal
time for each member)

• The presentation must include an introduction and overview of the Case, as well
answers

and conclusions to all review questions.

Expectations
• Copying or Sharing your work with other groups is strictly prohibited and could
result in a failing grade for all involved.

• Plagiarism is a serious offence and should be avoided at all costs. Words and
ideas that are not your own must be properly acknowledged. If you are using or
rephrasing someone else’s words or using someone else’s ideas, you must give
credit to that person by citing their work. Plagiarism will result in a failing grade
on the assignment.
