call upon our school principal, Bonny Ma’am, and all the leaders present here to
come on the stage for the lamp-lighting ceremony.
(while everyone is coming up on stage)
Narrator 1 : The oil or ghee in the lamp symbolizes negative tendencies and the
wick, ego.
When lit, the negative tendencies get slowly exhausted, and the ego, too, finally
perishes.
The flame of the lamp always burns upwards.
Similarly, we should acquire such knowledge to take us towards lofty ideals.
Light symbolizes knowledge, while darkness represents ignorance.
May the darkness of ignorance be swept away by the light of self-realization and
knowledge.
Both Narrators ; ( Asks all the dignitaries on the stage to kindly do the lamp-lighting
ceremony.)

about why they brought you along with them to india.
