FAREWELL ANCHORING SCRIPT

1.WELCOMING THE GUESTS

K : I kindly request the audience to stand as we welcome our esteemed guests,

Mr. Navneet Jaipuriar Sir, Mrs. Rashmi Jaipuriar Ma'am and our respected
Principal Mrs. Rashmi Rekha Saha. I request _______ to escort them to the
stage. Thankyou everyone please be seated. I request _______ to take our
guests to their respective seats.

N : The two hardest things to say in life are “Hello” for the first time and “
Goodbye” for the last. Don’t be dismayed by goodbyes. A farewell is necessary
before you can meet again and meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is
certain for those who are friends.

K : A very Good Morning to one and all present here. Today I Kavya, along
with my firend Nehaarika, have got the opportunity to host today’s farewell .
A very warm welcome to our esteemed guests, Mr. Navneet Jaipuriar Sir,
Mrs. Rashmi Jaipuriar Ma'am, our Respected Prinicipal Madam Dr Rashmi
Rekha Saha, cordinators, teachers and all my fellow mates.

N : Two years, two long years of confinement, insulation from all good
conductors, ofcouse friends, no parties, no dines, no entertainment, basically
two short years of our social batteries being drained out. It feels like “ chaar
din ki zindage mein, do din, yuhi gava diye” and when we are finally back to
the new normal, its time to say goodbye. We wish to make this day a
memorable one for all of you lovely people. Without further ado, let us begin
this day.

2. LIGHTING THE LAMP

K : Light symbolises brightness and prosperity. It removes the forces of

darkness and gives us positivity. In spiritual words, light means life. So we can
also thnk of life, as giving us a new direction in life. With this noble thought,
let us start this morning by lighting the lamp. I would be honoured to request
our esteemed guests to join us on stage for lighting the auspicious lamp. So, I
request ________ to guide our guests to the stage.
N : “Asatho Ma Sad gamaya, Tamosma Jyotirgamaya, Mrityoma Amritam
Gamaya Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti”- Give us wisdom to make this
world a better place to live. May all human beings , live in harmony with
nature and other forms of life. May the truth prevail. May the darkness of
ignorance be swept away by the dawn of self realization.

3. WELCOMING THE GUESTS WITH BOUQUET

K : Thankyou eveyone.I would now request our guests to be on stage as I

invite Anubhuti mam and ______ to present a bouquet to our guests as a
token of love.

Thankyou everyone. I would now request _____ to guide our guests down the
stage and escort them to their seats. I would like to handover the mic to Gouri
and Dhvanee for hosting all the amazing performances for the day.

G : Goodmorning, to one and all, present here. I, Gouri, along with my

friend Dhvanee promise to make this day a memorable one for all of you. So
let us start this morning, by seeking the blessings of Almighty. So, I would like
to invite Aditi to perform a dance.

D : Thank you Aditi. That was indeed beautiful. Come what may, you must
never tolerate evil. Lord Shiva was known as the destroyer of evil. Keeping
this in mind, I would now request, Aneesh Pati to come on stage to sing a song.

G : Thank you Aneesh. It was really melodious.We dance for laughter, we

dance for tears , we dance for madness, we dance out of fear, we dance for
hope, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create dreams.. With this
quote in mind, I would like to call the stunning dancers of class 11, Priyanka,
Aparna, Savi, Ishita, Khushi and Shriheeta, with their zealous dance moves.

D : Thank you, that was indeed a delicate balance between dance and
perfection. Music is the universal language of mankind. Where words fail,
music speaks. So we have Shreyansh Mishra to play the flute.

G : Wow Shreyansh that was a melodious performance.

Where the hands are the eye follows, Where the eyes are the mind follows.
Where the mind goes, the expression follows. Where there is expression,
Navarasa is evoked. Bharatnatyam is one of the oldest and most popular
classical dance forms of India. So it gives me immense pleasure to welcome
Sahana and Mythili to come on stage.

D : Thank you girls. That was really an eye-catcher.

A friend is someone, who overlooks your broken fence and admires the
flowers in your garden. So next we have, Tanishq Mukhane to recite his self
composed poem.

G : Thank you Tanishq. That was really creative and well written.

To rock the party, a single dance move is enough. A single dance move, can
directly connect the heart to the soul. Thus, I would like to call our graceful
dancers, Arshiya, Saniya, Charvi, Pranjal, Saee, Depali, Manasvi Lepande
and Manasvi Pathak to give a rocking performance.

D : Wasn’t that just amazing.

G : Oh Yes! Definitely !

D : Music is the sound track of your life. So, I would like to call upon Athuilka
to come on stage to sing a song.

G : Wow, that was such a mesmerising performance. To dance is to reach for

a word that does not exist. To sing heartsong of a thousand generation. To feel
the moment in time, with this phrase in mind, I would like to invite Riya,
Samiksha, Panini and Ishita to perform an energetic dance.

D : Undoubedtly, that was really amazing. As our life becomes more artificial
and we live more and more at second hand, we feel a growing need for a direct
contact with life, which can be felt in dance. So we have another dance coming
up for you, but this time , it the boys who will enthrall you with their
enthustiatic performance. So I call upon Viraj , Dhruv, Gaurav, Aaryan,
Kunal, Raj and Soumyadeep to showcase their talent.

G : Well done boys, that was indeed energetic. Next, up we have Rushil to
perform a solo dance and entertain us with his moves.
D : Thank you Rushil. It was certainly an outstanding performance. Are you
guys enjoying the programme? To double up the fun, we are now handing
over the mic to Tithiksha for a fun and surprising segement.

GAMES

K : Today, all of us are here to celebrate this day and create memories that
will remain with us throughout our lives. Over the course of our bitter sweet
trail through school life, we have all encountered a fair share of challenges
and incidents that influenced our personas and helped us who we are today.
The school not only imparted us priceless knowledge but also bestowed upon
us life values and lessons that will reminisce through our lives.

N : So, I would like to call upon Sanat to take you all down the memory lane
and share some of the amazing moments, spent together.

Thank you Sanat. It was such a touching presentation. I bet, everyone is teary
eyed by now.

Our laughs are limitless. Our memories are countless. Our Friendship is
endless. Keeping this in mind, I would like to call upon Pakhi to showcase her
musical skills.

K : Wow, Pakhi, it was really soothing. By the way Nehaarika, do you know,
the hardest word in English Dictionary.

N : Uhh! is it 'OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGIST'?

K : In the literal sense, maybe but in reality it might be just saying “ Good
Bye” to someone , as all of Jaipuriar school struggles to say it today. So to
make this goodbye a little easier. We would like to sweeten this day, by calling
our 11th class band, Aarya, Arujun, Tanishq, Aditi, Anuj and Abhikhya to
perform a mashup of songs.

D : It was just fabulous. We can never ever forget the time we share with
friends.

G : Dhvanee… Don’t you agree that our seniors are just looking fab today?
D : Oh Gauri, is that even a question. Undoubtedly, they all look so charming.
Without further ado let us start our surprise segment for the day.

D&G (together):THE RAMP WALK

G: I would now request each and every student of class XII to come upon
stage, walk along the carpet and enthrall us with your graceful walk.

D : Can we please have a huge round of applause for our seniors. It was
undeniably so graceful. This just made my day.

Next, I would like to call Joanna from class XIIth A , Riddhi Lalla from class
XIIth B ,Riddhi Rane of class XIIth C, to share a few words about their
experience at Jaipuriar School.

G : Thank you everyone. I know you all can never forget the beautiful
moments cherished here.

D : Moving on, I would like to give this opportunity to our seniors to showcase
their talents. So I would like to invite Anusuya Sudheesan to stun us with her
graceful dance.

G : Wow...It was simply awesome. Next up we have Surendran to sing a song

song for all of us.

K : It was indeed melodious. Thankyou guys for entertaining us with your

outstanding performances.

We know the best lessons were trapped in our books inside our bags. But we
know the truth, it’s the life lessons we were fortunate enough to receive them
from our amazing seniors. I cant imagine being the seniors like you guys have
been for us and of course you guys couldn’t have had better juniors but jokes
apart we all learnt a lot from you and we take this opportunity to thank you
all from the bottom of our hearts, we wish you all success in life as you
embark on a new journey.

N. What a retrieving competition it has been for the Mr. and Mrs Jaipuriar
title. Don’t you agree Kavya?
K. I most certainly do therefore, for giving away the prize, I would like to call
upon Vineeta Mam to announce Mr. and Ms. Jaipuriar.

N. Heartiest congratulations to both of you. Can we have a huge round of

applause for them as they carry this title proudly down the stage.

K. From the great Harry Potter Series as Albus Dumbledore, once rightfully
quoted, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one
remembers to turn on the light.”

N. For all the students of Jaipuriar, the brightest light has been our teachers
who shone light in the darkest of times. So even today as you all venture out in
the world, our teachers would like to bring the light back to life for this one
last time.

K. Therefore, I would kindly request our Principal madam to share a few

words of wisdom with the audience.

N. Thank you mam for sharing your wise words with all of us.

Last but not the least, I would like to call Tanushree to present the vote of
thanks.

All good things come to an end. With this we come to the end of our farwell
ceremony. We hope you all enjoyed and collected the best memories ofyour
