GENERAL WELCOME

A very good evening to all and welcome to the annual farewell and

School.
On behalf of the management, principal, mam, and my colleagues,
I extend a warm welcome to our guests, parents and all present here.
Welcome everyone. A warm and special welcome to our SSLC students.
Welcome dears.
It is a bittersweet moment, nonetheless I am proud to witness our
young adults ready to jump onto the next step of life. It is a marvelous
scene to behold, and I am grateful to be a part of it. This event today is a
credit to you and to our institution, to your dedication and hard work. I
would like to congratulate all the students for their accomplishments in
these past years and wish them all bright future and career very soon.
And I am very sure that success will come soon to those who work hard
and give it their all.
Just like gold and diamonds are uncovered from the earth, and cut
and polished to bring out their hidden beauty and value, so the
wonderful personalities, the myriad strengths and diverse qualities of the
students are uncovered. Their curiosity and enthusiasm are shaped into
learning and knowledge. From their first day at school and to this, their
last day, they have been guided by the teachers to the best of their
abilities.

And now it is time to bid farewell, as their journey with us comes to an

end. But it is far from over. They have a long way to go, in fact it is a
journey that has no end. The best we can do is prepare them for the next
step, their college life.
Arrival of the chief guest and special guest:
The audience are requested to kindly stand and welcome our
guests
I feel humbled and honoured to welcome our chief guest Shri. Gururaj.

Marching in of SSLC students:

The students of SSLC who are the guests of honour today, will
now enter in a slow march. We welcome these young men and women
today in our midst to celebrate the event of their farewell. These students
have spent 10 years with us that is embodied with excitement and
passion. It’s the time where they leave their childhood behind and step
into the world to forge their own paths in life. Today they depart well
prepared to deal with life’s challenges. They came in here as young
students filled with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. And now it’s
time to say ‘Adieu’- ‘goodbye’ They have grown up into young men
and women, full of admiration and wonder, ready to face the world.
They are leaving here today with a wealth of knowledge which they will
always treasure. Studying here has been a fantastic learning experience.
Being here with us each day, has helped them achieve skills and made
them more complete and well-accomplished person. They have learnt
how to take direction, criticism, and compliments and to apply them in
various situations. They have also learnt to be open-minded, to value
other people's opinions and to consider other ideas along with theirs, to
end up with a great final result.

Presidents’ Address:
Now I request Mam to preside over the function and help us to continue
the program.
A very good evening to all the esteemed guests on the dais, dear parents,
teachers and everyone present here in the hall.
My dear boys & girls, at the outset I wish all X std. students a grand
success in their forth coming S.S.L.C examination. Just as treasures are
uncovered from the earth, so does virtue appear from good deeds and
wisdom appears from pure and peaceful mind.
I am feeling a little nervous today and I know you too are going through
similar feelings. I remember those days in the first year of this
millennium, in June 2006 when your parents left you at the entrance of
this school and that was the first time in your life you stepped out of
your house and stayed in a new place. Your steps were not complete,
you needed the Teacher or Ayyammas helpers’ help to put that first step
into the school. You cried on the top of your voice and irritated us to the
core, running in all the directions except into your classroom. It took a
few days for you to adjust to the school environment; few weeks to like
the teachers. Today the school, the teachers, the classrooms, the
playground have become the most adorable -very close to your heart.
There is something incredible hidden during assembly that made you
stand at ease and also in attention position every morning for all these
years. This gave you an opportunity to build up confidence in yourself
and speak before a gathering for the first time in your life. All these
years you prayed for yourself, your family, your friends and for your
country. The black boards in all the classrooms you graduated through
gave you a treasure of knowledge that you are carrying in your head
today & passing out of this temple of learning. The classrooms were
your dens, not only to take that daily dose of knowledge and wisdom,
but also to all the naughtier things you did. Sometimes you could escape
from the notice of your teachers and sometimes you got caught red-
handed, only to get the shouting. All these parts of the school have
become so close to your heart that you are feeling terrible to leave them
all forever and enter a new world called college.
At times you were playful, sometimes you were in a very jubilant mood,
sometimes you were naughty, sometime were depressed, but your
teachers took all the pains to put you in the relevant mood. It is
time you express your profound gratefulness to all your teachers. They
were your Mentors, Gurus & philosophers who not only laid the roads
towards your destination, but also held your hand and guided you to
overcome the hurdles en route. So dear children, do not let what you
cannot do interfere with what you can do. Eventually you should aim at
raising expectations for self, where each goal automatically leads you to
a higher level. I wish you all a grand & bright career for your future.
Your enthusiasm & hard work will be fruitfully rewarded. I hope & trust
that you will bring laurels to our institution.
When you reach the top of your career don't forget your roots.
Remember, in addition to your family members, your extended family,
THE SACRED HEART FAMILY will also be waiting to hear that
interesting story of your journey through the ladder of success and
appreciate you.
May you all fare well in your career
May you accomplish all those dreams you aspired for yourself.
May GOD bless you with all the strength to groom yourself into better
humans.
Now, I officially announce the commencement of the function.
Thank you .

and life."

CANDLE MARCH :
We now come to the most symbolic event of the evening the

Dear seniors, our school has strived hard to ignite the light of
your life, providing you with an opportunity galore, for your personal
development, for your growth as a person intellectually, physically
emotionally, socially and spiritually. We hope and pray that these small
delicate lamps will sparkle into bright flames that will light up not only
your lives but of those around you, wherever you might go.
Pledge: An oath is a way to make us aware of our duties towards our
school and our nation at large. Now we shall witness the ‘Oath’ taking
ceremony by the S.S.L.C students. "More importantly, we hope that the
oath will be a reminder throughout the students' lives of the ethical
principles upon which their life is built," "The oath is a solemn promise
made by them to serve society ethically. It reminds them of the
responsibilities they have accepted as students." So I request the head
girl Preeti Ukli to lead us with the pledge.

Dear God, as we leave the portals of our school, we pledge to
follow the law of progress. ‘Struggle’ being the law of the progress we
shall struggle between truth and untruth, between vice and virtue,

thoughts put to practice become great acts. We shall promise to build
our mind and character on sound lines and they shall be in the spirit of
