What Is the Discoverer Catalog?
The Discoverer Catalog is a repository for
Discoverer Plus OLAP.
It can be used by BI Beans applications.
It requires
q Oracle Database 9.2.0.5 or
10.1.3 with the OLAP patch.
It is owned by the D4OSYS user.
It is different from the OLAP Catalog.

Exporting the Catalog
The catalog is exported as a PXIF.
The exported file contains information about:
Folder organization
Object definitions
Privileges
Managing the Discoverer Catalog:
Importing the Catalog
Import to restore a backup or to migrate.
Importing overwrites existing objects
with the same name.
Objects in the exported file and the
target Discoverer Catalog must have
access to the same OLAP schemas and
metadata.
Objects definitions are imported, but user
definitions are not.
