What Is a Headline?
 Like a title of a news story
 Concise, short and compelling summary

How to write a good Headline?


 uses subject-verb-direct object format
 eliminates articles (a, an, the).
 includes verbs in the present tense (or sometimes future tense).
 Do not use “and”. Instead, use a comma (,)
For example: SNHS, SorSU ink MOA on Game-based apps

Bad Headline Examples:


 The Twins' opener
 “A presidential tax cut."
 This year's Pulitzer awards
 A season of Christmas carols
