SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RECONSIDERATION OF CALCULUS II (MATH-1002) EXAMINATION

We are second-semester BS Physics students writing to bring to your attention a crucial issue regarding
the recent Calculus II (MATH – 1002) examination.

The examination paper differed significantly from the outlined syllabus, causing confusion, and making it
exceedingly challenging for students to perform adequately. The discrepancy led to a substantial portion
of the paper being out of syllabus, comprising 30 marks. Attached, please find the exam paper along with
the official syllabus outline for your review and reference.

We earnestly request either the provision of grace marks due to the unprecedented nature of the
examination, or a re-conduct of the exam to ensure fairness and uphold the academic standards of the
university. We believe that such measures would enable students to demonstrate their true
understanding of the subject matter and ensure fairness in the evaluation process.

We sincerely hope for a prompt and positive resolution to this matter, as it greatly affects the academic
performance and morale of the students involved.
