Consecutive Bible Reading

Let us turn our Bibles to John chapter 21 for our consecutive Bible
reading.

Last week, we read chapter 20, we saw how three disciples visited the empty tomb.
Later, Jesus appeared to Mary and told her to tell his disciples about his coming
ascension. And after appearing to his disciples, he commissioned them for apostolic
service. (43 words)

Today we read chapter 21, we see Jesus while by the sea of Tiberias, appeard to his
disciples who labored all night without catching fish, but at his command their catch
was bountiful. later we see him having breakfast with his disciples, we also see Him
asking Peter to love Jesus by caring his sheep. Finally, the author states that, to
record all what Jesus did, this world would not fit. Brethren our love for Jesus should
be exhibited in loving others. (82 words)

Let us turn our Bibles to John chapter 21 for our consecutive Bible reading.

Last week, we read chapter 20 and saw how three disciples visited Jesus’ empty
tomb. Later, Jesus appeared to Mary and to his other disciples. He commissioned
his disciples for apostolic service. Finally, John explained why he wrote this Gospel.

Today we read chapter 21, the last chapter of this Gospel. We see the third time that
Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection. Jesus asked Peter if he loved
him and told him to take care of his sheep. The chapter ends with an incident that led
to the view that John would never die. From the words of Jesus to Peter, we learn
that our love for Jesus should be exhibited in our love for his people. (80 words)

Let us turn our Bibles to second Peter chapter 1 for our consecutive
Bible reading

Last week, we read First Peter chapter 5 and saw how Peter charged the elders to
shepherd God’s flock. And he asked young ones to submit to their elders and to one
another in humility. And urged believers to resist the devil in the midst of their current
suffering. (47 words)

Today, we read chapter 1, We see Peter write to believers, and told them that God
has given them all things that pertains to life and godliness He then listed and
challenged them to make effort to possess Christian virtues. He also showed them
the dander of failure to practice Christian virtues. Lastly, he affirmed that he is an
eyewitness to what he preaches and that all scripture is inspired by God. Brethren is
your life reflecting Christian virtues? (79 words)

Let us turn our Bibles to Second Peter chapter 1 for our consecutive Bible reading.

Last week, we read First Peter chapter 5 and saw how Peter charged the elders to
shepherd God’s flock. He urged youths to submit to their elders and to one another
and urged believers to resist the devil in suffering.

Today, we read Second Peter chapter 1 where Peter told believers that God had
given them everything that pertained to life and godliness. He then challenged them
to make every effort to possess various Christian virtues. He showed them the
danger of failing to practice Christian virtues. Lastly, he affirmed that he was an
eyewitness to what he preached and that all scripture was inspired by God. Even
today, we need to ensure that we are growing in Christian virtues.
