STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Muhammad Isah Bala(muhdbalaisah.mb@gmail.com) Asa graduate of Agricultural engineering from Bayero University Kano and National Diploma in Civil engineering, | have grown to fall in love with Engineering Technology and this enthusiasm has led me to invest in myself by obtaining certificates and interning in various organisation. | had the opportunity to intern with Suleiman Survey & Co Ltd, a surveying and geo-informatics firm in Kano state. | worked both in the field and in GIS lab. | was able to learn different skills in the field, software's and sophisticated instruments. My natural interest about operating instruments and how things function drew me to engineering as a major throughout my undergraduate studies. A successful academic career in this field so far, including internship in food processing industry and milling company, and strong desire to bridge Food insecurity gap in Africa, particularly Nigeria, has motivated me to continue my studies and pursue a master’s degree in AgriScience Technology (Postharvest) in order to deapen my knowledge and provide smart solutions to today's problem. King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi is one of nine national research University in Thailand, is an engineering and technology university, focusing on teaching and research. It will be a great honour for me to have the opportunity to study in this great university. During my Master's program, | intend to concentrate on research and innovation in the areas of sustainable Agriculture, Digital and precision Agriculture In conclusion, | am confident enough that with the knowledge, skills, exposure and personal experience that Master's program will provide, | will be fully equipped to provide smart digital solutions for milling company, Food processing industry, particularly in Nigeria, and to provide solutions to the food insecurity in the county.
