Kindly refer to the above subject, in this regard I am directed to convey that during an Investigation conducted by the Vigilance with respect to the wrongful LTC claims claimed by the ESIC official, various shortcomings were observed. The report pointed out the scope of manipulations by the officials with the assistance of third parties which may results into loss to the Corporation, undue benefit to few, non-adherence to the norms/instructions, legal conflict, complaints of corruption ete. In view of above, it is requested to kindly advise the Finance Officers (Dy. Director/Asst, Directors holding the charge of finance branch) specially in the Hospital/Medical colleges etc.- that the detailed scrutiny of the high value LTC claims may be made before settlement and if any discrepancy is observed the suitable action may be taken against the officer concerned, including the suitable disciplinary action.
