IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES FOR THE SEMINAR REVIEW COURSES

set by the University for Review and Related Instructions Office (URRIO)

• For PROFED13: SEMINAR REVIEW 2, coaching sessions will be done via online through
google meet. Students shall use their institutional email account in enrolling to the google
classroom.

• Review materials may be in the form of recorded videos, PowerPoint presentations, and the
likes. Review materials will be shared via google classroom. Students shall adhere to the
intellectual property rights.

• All summative examinations as well as the University-wide Simulated Board Exam (USBE)
will be conducted face-to-face while synchronous exam will be online. Students are
prohibited to copy any part of the summative and synchronous exam by any form.

• In accordance with the program of instruction, exams will be held on Saturdays from 9:00
AM to 12:00 NN. During the USBE, exam will be from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Students shall use their institutional account in all synchronous examinations.

• All paper and pencil examinations shall be checked using a scantron.

• The grading system below shall be implemented:


• Attendance 10%
• Synchronous Test 20%
• Summative Test 35%
• USBE 35%
• TOTAL 100%

• The transmutation grade for the exam scores to be used for synchronous, summative, and
simulated board exam will be (SCORE / TOTAL) x 65 + 35.

• The transmutation grade for the attendance score to be used will be (SCORE / TOTAL) x
80 +20.

• Each synchronous test of each competency will have at least 30 multiple-choice questions
per competency.

• Each summative exam will have 200 multiple-choice questions covering all the discussed
competencies in each cycle.
• The number of questions on the University Simulated Board Exam is equal to the real Board
Exam administered by the PRC.

• The content of the University-wide Simulated Board Examination (USBE) shall be


composed of General Education, Professional Education and Specialization subjects.

• A grace period of 15 minutes shall be given to any student who will come late in the class. A
student who exceeds beyond the given grace period shall be denied taking the scheduled
examination.

• If a student is unable to take the test for whatever reason, they must obtain a standard excuse
form from their review master or the URRIO office and follow the usual operating protocols.

• Students must have a valid reason such as illness and emergency in the family, special
occasions (weddings, wake, baptism, religious gathering, and the like) and other humanitarian
reasons.

• In case of illness, a medical certificate must be attached to the excuse letter. In case of out-
patient, a letter signed from the guardian must be presented along with 1 valid ID (with
signature).

• In case of special occasions, the student concerned must secure prior excuse slips and to be
approved by the head and the dean. Attachments needed shall likewise be presented.

• No special exams shall be administered without the approved permit.

• The privilege to take special test shall be made within the week thereafter. Failure to secure
permit and taking such special test within that week will automatically miss their chance for
such privilege.

• Students are strictly not allowed to use any gadget such as mobile phone, i-pad, tablets and
the likes during the examinations. However, the use of such gadgets for instructional
purposes may be allowed during the coaching as a way to taking the gist of their lecture.

• No student may make any copies or reproductions of any kind of review materials or exam
questionnaires. Any disciplinary action taken in this regard must comply with the relevant
section of the student handbook.

• Students shall only use pencil #2 to shade their answer sheets. Those who will be caught
cheating shall be referred to their respective department heads and the college dean for
appropriate action. For this purpose, the provision from the student handbook shall apply
and exam score will be rated zero.

• The record of attendance shall be monitored by their respective block advisers.


• The University policy regarding the number of absences shall strictly be implemented. Thus,
being absent for more than 3 accumulated meetings shall be ground to drop the subject.

• The reviewees will be required to pay a minimum of twenty-five pesos (PHP 25.00) for each
examination to cover the costs associated with test materials and answer sheets.
