    Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are
    the backbone of the Indonesian economy. In
    2022, MSMEs contributed 61.07% to Indonesia's
    GDP. However, MSMEs also face a number of
    challenges, one of which is caused by the e-
    commerce market.

    Tiktokshop is an e-commerce platform launched


    by TikTok in 2021. This platform offers various
    attractive features for MSMEs, such as the ease of
    creating an online store, product promotion, and
    shipping goods.

    However, since its launch, Tiktokshop has received


    criticism from various parties. As a result of these
    criticisms, on September 25, 2023, TikTok
    announced that it would be closing Tiktokshop in
    Indonesia.
    The Government Believes
