Jingo
Being at The Circle Center for a little over a month now has opened my eyes to so
many things and my time there has taught me how to love life more than anything and
to make the best out of it, no matter what. One day while volunteering at the center, I
helped with a small group activity where they had played Halloween Jingo. Jingo is
similar to bingo but instead of numbers on the board, there are pictures. I have played
Jingo with them before but it was birthdaythemed, with pictures that were related to a
birthday partysuch as balloons, gifts, and cake. This time, I picked out a Jingo game that
was Halloween themed, which they loved. This Jingo game had pictures of skeletons,
spiders, Dracula, candied apples, and pumpkins. While playing... Show more content on

One of the ladies explained how both of her eyes were completely fine until her vision
in one eye started to become a little weary. She went to multiple doctor appointments in
which she was told that she would eventually lose all sight in her left eye. With her
strong faith, she still had hope and believed that she would keep her vision in her eye but
sooner than she knew it, she had lost it completely, within months. As she went on, she
began to speak about her family. As the conversation progressed, I learned that all
seven of her children have perfect eye sight in both eyes but one of her granddaughters
was born blind in one eye. Although she expressed some disappointment about her
granddaughter having to go through and experience what she had to, she stressed
how happy she was that she still has the ability to drive and perform daily activities to
fulfill her needs. I decided to ask her if she wishes that doctors would have had a cure
to increase or maintain the vision in her left eye when she found out that she was going
to go legally blind. She then replied no , she was so humble about it and then said, I
know they will find a
Iran-Iraq War Essay
Iran Iraq War
The eight year Iran Iraq War was, by the standards of international conflicts, a very long
one. It lasted longer than both World War I and World War II. In this conflict, the two
most powerful states in the Persian Gulf, Iran and Iraq, who were the world s largest
producers of petroleum, were locked in mortal combat and appeared intent on destroying
each other. The war began when Iraq invaded Iran, simultaneously launching an
invasion by air and land into Iranian territory on September 1980 and ended with a
United Nations brokered ceasefire in 1988. The causes of the war are deeply rooted in
the ideology and ambitions of the leaders of the countries to gain and maintain control
over internal and regional politics, as well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, what had formerly been the Imperial Iranian military was greatly despoiled,
with much of the officer corps fleeing the Islamic Revolution. Also radical Marxists
were still battling the religious fundamentalists in part of the country. Because of all
of the above factors, Iraq had a uniquely promising chance to strike a devastating blow
at its eastern neighbor, establishing Saddam as the pre eminent leader in the Persian
Gulf region and perhaps so discrediting the new Iranian government as to bring about
its ultimate downfall.Saddam also wanted to put an end to religious propaganda
directed against Iraq s secular regime by the Islamic government of Iran, which had
come to power in 1979 under Khomeini. Khomeini, and during the Iranian Revolution,
and most Iranian Muslims belonged to the Shiite sect of Islam. Hussein feared that the
propaganda would undermine the loyalty of Iraqi Shiites, who comprised about 60
percent of his country s population. On March 1980, Saddam received a pretext to
engage in war when an assassination attempt was made on Deputy Prime Minister Tariq
Aziz, by Iranian backed rebel group Al Dawaa, followed by the bombing on the funeral
procession. Saddam blamed the Iranians and attacked in September. Before declaring war
Saddam, in a statement addressed to the Iraqi parliament, on 17 September, stated that

Section 2 Understand how to handle mail 1. Explain the purpose of correctly receiving,
checking and sorting mail and packages (both incoming and outgoing). The word Mail
did refer to the written communication that passes through the messenger service or the
post office. However, mail now widely refers to email , where Post refers to the written
word on paper put in envelopes. Mail can arrive at the company office in different ways.
The bulk of the mail will be delivered by the Post Office, usually in the morning to
midday. Nonetheless, mail can also be delivered by hand, fax and of course by e mail.
Every business sends out and receives a large number of letters, notices, circulars,
telegrams, memoranda reports, statements, pamphlets, enquiries, etc. The mail centre
ensures a continuous interaction between internal staff and external customers/ suppliers.
It helps the business to establish and maintain contact with customers, suppliers, and

centre system should be planned and organized, with laid down procedures. Due to the
importance and the vital role played in the organisation of the post,

Edith s political affiliation was pro suffrage for woman and republican. Her family
were Quakers, as was her mother, Elizabeth. Elizabeth played a crucial role in women
s higher education and also, graduated from Rockford Seminary in 1868 (Women s
Intellectual Contributions, n.d.). Edith s father, Othman, was a soldier, lawyer and
banker and perhaps more influentially the first lieutenant governor of the state of
Nebraska. Early in Edith s life, her father had financial troubles at his place of work,
which caused the family to have to work for years to recoup their hard earned money
(Women s Intellectual Contributions, n.d.). Early in her educational career, Edith s
parents enrolled her in Brownell Hall, where Edith graduated from in 1893 with top
honors and as valedictorian. Upon graduation, Abbott taught high school in her
hometown; this lead her to continue her own education and began taking classes to
prepare for college. She went on to attend the University of Nebraska and graduated in
1901 and from there continued her education further by achieving her doctoral degree in
economics from the University of Chicago in 1905 (Women s Intellectual Contributions,
n.d.). According to The National Association of Social Workers website, Edith also
studied at the London School of Economics. From there, she continued on to teach at
Wellesley College until 1908,
