Dominant Impression Essay

Crafting a Dominant Impression Essay can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies in
the nuanced art of capturing a specific mood, atmosphere, or feeling and conveying it vividly to the
reader. Unlike other types of essays, where you might focus on presenting a clear argument or
analyzing facts, a Dominant Impression Essay requires a keen sense of observation and a skillful use
of descriptive language.

The initial challenge comes in choosing the right subject or scene that can evoke a strong and
distinctive impression. Whether it's a bustling city street, a serene natural landscape, or a chaotic
event, the writer must carefully select an environment rich in sensory details. Once the subject is
chosen, the task is to translate the sensory experience into words that paint a vivid picture in the
reader's mind.

The process involves meticulous attention to detail. Every sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch must
be carefully examined and translated into words. This demands a high level of creativity, as well as a
deep understanding of the impact that specific details can have on the reader's perception. Striking
the right balance between providing enough detail to create a vivid image and avoiding
overwhelming the reader can be a delicate task.

Organizing the essay is another hurdle. The writer must decide on a structure that allows for a natural
flow of sensory details, building up the dominant impression gradually. Balancing the chronological
order with thematic organization is a challenge, as the essay should not only capture the reader's
attention but also hold it throughout the narrative.

Editing and revising are crucial in perfecting a Dominant Impression Essay. It requires a critical eye
to ensure that every word contributes to the overall impression and that unnecessary details or
redundancies are eliminated. Achieving conciseness while maintaining richness in description is a
constant struggle.

In summary, writing a Dominant Impression Essay demands a unique set of skills— keen
observation, creative expression, organizational finesse, and effective editing. However, mastering
these elements can lead to a piece of writing that leaves a lasting impact on the reader, making the
effort well worth it.

Persuasive Speech On Sea Turtles
Imagine a world of chaos. We see things like that all the time in movies, where zombies
roam the earth and there are just those few main survivors left. The world is in ruins.
If ocean life was to die out, there would be a collapse of civilization as a whole. Just like
we see on TV, the world would become a place where no order exists. This would lead to
human extinction. The ocean dies, we die along with it, and if sea turtles die, so does the
ocean. In simple words, one could say that human life depends on sea turtles. In this
speech I will be covering three topics. First, how a sea turtles diet benefits marine life and
humans, second, how sea turtles provide homes and food for other species, and last, how
sea turtles protect beaches from washing away.
Sea turtles have been a big help in maintaining the health of the world s ocean for more
than 100 million years. They help by keeping up coral reefs all the way to transporting
nutrients to beaches. Major changes have occurred in oceans everywhere due to the
decline of the sea turtle population. Oceans are unhealthy because of this. It is time for
us to protect the sea turtles and rebuild their population to ensure healthy oceans in the
future. According to oceana.org, there are seven species of sea turtles that roam the
world, six of which inhabit U.S. waters, and have been listed as either endangered, or
threatened. Up until now, all six of these species are not at a healthy level despite
protection measures from the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Some populations even
continue to decline. Even at a diminished population, sea turtles play an important role
in ecosystems. They are also extremely important to humans because they keep oceans
healthy, and we use the ocean as a food source. They keep up the health of the ocean in
many different ways, all of which, are very important. Sea turtles are one of the few
animals that eat sea grass. Just like normal lawn grass, sea grass needs to be constantly
cut short to help it grow across the sea floor rather than just getting really long blades.
Without constant grazing, sea grass beds obstruct currents and provide a suitable habitat
for the growth of slime molds. Sea grass beds provide breeding grounds for many
Racism And Income Inequality In The United States
Racism and inequalities have existed, exists now, and will be here long after we are
gone. However, racism in this country has been diminished greatly, and though it will
never be fully eradicated, it is to the point where all races and ethnicities can achieve
great things. All aspects of life, such as income levels, success in the arts, and even
college entrance are not beholden to systemic racism. It is a person s own drive, personal
life choices, and willingness to work hard that determine their level of achievement. Of
the many cultures in this country, some are more goal driven and can better thrive in a
capitalist society. Then there are some cultures that don t do so well. So, even though
racism does exist in the united states, it is not to the point where it grants benefits to
white people. There are many factors to income inequality in this country, not all of
which are connected to racism, but one s personal choices. The most prevalent factor that
contributes to income... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As it relates to the education system, cultural differences are a main factor for the
disparities among the races. Despite this, the Affirmative Action quota system was
implemented in order to promote diversity in places of higher education. Policy makers
in this country have gone out of their way to ensure that their illusion of an equal playing
field exists. However, in the court case Gratz v. Bollinger, the Supreme Court ruled that
the University of Michigan s application was riddled with racial discrimination against
non minorities. Pew Researchers even found that of those personally affected by
Affirmative Action, including minorities and non minorities, 4% benefited while 11%
were hurt by its effects. The only beneficiaries were those of the black community while
Affirmative Action policies were most detrimental to white

Walter Lee Younger in Lorraine Hansberry s A Raisin In The Sun No matter how hard
they try, there are some people who cannot get ahead in life. Walter Lee Younger is a
man who is frustrated with his current position in life, and every disappointment he has
encountered thus far. Although he tries to be a loving man, sometimes he does not
know how to show the idea of love, Sometimes...sometimes...I don t even know how to
try (Hansberry 89). His position in life can be regarded as symbolic of every black male
struggling to provide for his family by any means necessary. Although Walter has a job, it
seems inadequate for his survival. As a result, he has become frustrated and lacks good
judgement. Throughout this play Walter searches... Show more content on

Walter does not have control over his own responsibilities. Therefore, if he was given
all the resources needed to provide his family his poor judgement and lack of business
sense would create further stress on the family. Ruth, Mama, and his sister Beanetha
attack him from every angle about his doubtful ideals. Ironically, those ideals are what
Walter needs to shape and justify his manhood. Without ideals and proper resources to
obtain them, a man s existence can be regarded as insignificant. There are many
obstacles in the way of Walter?s dream of opening a liquor store, as he tries to explain
to his wife, Ruth, about what he has to do, ?Baby, don?t nothing happen for you in
this world ?less you pay somebody off!?(Hansberry 33) Walter s determination to open
the liquor store can be viewed as means to an end to his family?s hardships. As Walter
s dreams become bigger and bigger, he seems to neglect the smaller things such as his
family. Here I am a giant surrounded by ants! Ants who can t even understand what the
giant is talking about,? (Hansberry 85). Walter has big ideals, but his methods of
achieving his goals and ideals are somewhat irrational. Walter can be regarded as more
concerned with becoming self employed without really thinking about the consequences,
which may be imposed on his family. Later in play, Walter learns that he needs to set his
dreams aside for the sake of the
