Essay On Math

Embarking on the task of composing an essay on the subject of mathematics can be likened to
navigating through a labyrinth of abstract concepts and intricate theories. The inherent complexity of
mathematical principles, coupled with the challenge of translating these ideas into coherent and
engaging prose, makes the process a formidable undertaking.

At its core, mathematics is a language of precision and logical reasoning, demanding a meticulous
approach to convey its essence effectively. The challenge lies not only in grasping the intricate details
of mathematical concepts but also in presenting them in a manner that resonates with a diverse
audience. Balancing the rigidity of mathematical language with the need for clarity and accessibility
requires a delicate dance of words and explanations.

The vast scope of mathematical topics further adds to the difficulty. From algebraic equations to
geometric theorems, each branch requires careful consideration and comprehensive understanding.
The essayist must navigate through this vast landscape, selecting key points that not only showcase
their mastery of the subject but also capture the reader's interest and curiosity.

Furthermore, the task involves breaking down complex ideas into digestible portions without
oversimplifying or losing the essence of the mathematical rigor. Striking this balance demands both a
deep comprehension of the material and a keen awareness of the audience's level of mathematical
proficiency.

In addition to the intellectual challenges, there is the artistic aspect of crafting an engaging narrative.
Weaving a compelling story that connects the various mathematical concepts, historical
developments, and real-world applications is no small feat. It requires the skill to transform dry,
abstract notions into a narrative that captivates the reader's imagination and appreciation for the
beauty of mathematics.

In conclusion, the journey of composing an essay on mathematics is a formidable task that demands a
unique blend of mathematical prowess and literary finesse. It is an endeavor that requires not only a
deep understanding of the subject matter but also the ability to convey its significance in a way that
resonates with a diverse audience. To navigate this intricate path successfully, one might find solace

Comparison Of Ritalin And Adderall
In the United States, 9.5 percent of children between the ages of 3 and 17 were
diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD (Morris 1). ADHD
is defined as a constant issue with hyperactivity, lack of focus, inability to control
behavior, or a combination of these (Berger 1). In order to quell the difficulties caused
by ADHD, parents will usually resort to sending their child to a physician to prescribe
a specific medication. These medications serve a great purpose, but also include
numerous unwanted side effects. As of 2010, 48 percent of 325 surveyed patients
reported side effects caused by ADHD medications, the most frequent being loss of
appetite, sleep problems and mood swings. About 21 percent of these side effects... Show

The minority of physicians prefer non stimulants as a solution. 38% of 365 physicians
who completed a survey concluded that they preferred to prescribe a nonstimulant
(Collingwood 2). The primary issue with non stimulants is the fact that they re more
liable to cause depression and suicidal thoughts, especially in teenagers, which is
primarily why non stimulants aren t the popular choice. There are two types of non
stimulants: norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, such as Strattera, which affect the
behavioral control in the brain, and alpha adrenergic agonists, such as Intuniv, which
were developed to lower high blood pressure (Boorady 5). These two types of
medications are similar in side effects concerning loss of appetite, drowsiness, and
irritability. According to a survey on Treato, Intuniv received a review of very satisfied
patients while patients using Strattera were moderately satisfied. A vast majority of
those who used Strattera had great concern about the formula causing a feeling of
depression while those using Intuniv were primarily concerned with weight gain and
drowsiness caused by the lowering of the blood pressure. Around the age of 15, my
parents sent me back to my physician to test a non stimulant, and, due to the positive
results, we chose to try Intuniv. Luckily, with the proper dosage, it actually worked, and
to this day I still take it; of course, there are still some unwanted
The Renaissance And Reformation And The Reformation
The Renaissance and Reformation two of Europe s largest movements grappled many of
the same issues. Both these movements addressed the question of human fate and tried to
make changes to entities and institutions in society. These broad similarities allow some
to believe that the Renaissance and Reformation had a relationship in which the former
caused the latter. However, while both the Renaissanceand Reformation deal with
questions of human fate and are movements of change, the answers they had to the this
question and the changes they made were contradictory and thus complicate and dispel
the notion that the Renaissance engendered the Reformation.
In both the Renaissance and the Reformation, people questioned the role humans ... Show

This preoccupation with human dignity that Pico expresses was characteristic of the
Renaissance humanists. As an intellectual movement, the Renaissance was a time in
which human reason and knowledge was praised for its power a central and distinct
view. Whereas humans are praised during the Renaissance for their ability to choose
their fate, the view during the Reformation was the opposite; God decided it. Such is
evident in the beliefs of two Reformation figures Muntzer and Luther. Both shared the
belief that God is the sole decision maker in human fate. In his work, A Highly
Provoked Defense, Muntzer describes the doctrine of predestination in which God
determined individuals who would be saved and those who would be condemned [to
hell] (Viault, 52). Muntzer calls the ones granted salvation the elect (Muntzer, 8). This
doctrine highlights the supreme power of God over humanity and asserts that humans
had no power over their fate. Luther shared the same belief in the omniscient power of
god. One of Luther s main teachings was sola gratia meaning by grace alone . Similar
to the predestination doctrine, sola gratia recognizes that humans cannot receive
salvation for any works they do; rather, it is determined by the grace of God. In this
view, humans have no power over fate; their only duty is to serve God: the provider of
their salvation.

to Bath and Devizes. These travels turned the public against the Slave Trade, raising
awareness of the horrors of the trade and changing attitudes towards enslaved people.

Olaudah s Contribution and Significance

Olaudah s book
The main contribution that Olaudah had on society was his autobiography The
Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano . This appeared in the spring of
1789 it was one of the most popular books of that time and served as a major support for
the abolition of the slave trade.

Two years earlier Olaudah wrote dozens of letters to London newspapers, praising new
anti slavery books, defending abolitionist friends, protesting a pro slavery speech he
had heard in the house of Lords visitor s gallery and even wrote letters to the Queen.
He also signed and probably organized and drafted more than a half dozen joint letters
about slavery groups of African men in London who referred themselves as the Sons of

autobiography he was preparing, when it appeared its two volumes totaled at five

Analyzing The Writing Style Of Suetonius The Deified
Augustus
In the book Lives of the Caesars , Suetonius wrote The Deified Augustus to describe
about the life of Augustus. Differences in the writing style of Suetonius are illustrated
by he mentioned and described details about the illness of Augustus. During Augustus s
life, he suffered with dangerous fits of sickness. After the conquest of Cantabria, his
liver was injured by a defluxion. His illness condition was described as in early spring
he suffered from an enlargement of the midriff, while when the winds were southerly it
was catarrh...he could not easily tolerate either cold or heat [81]. Not liked most of
writers at the Ancient Greece and Rome always portrayed their characters as the divines
who were strong and powerful, Suetonius portrayed Augustusas normal person. Even
though Augustus was the great emperor of the Ancient Rome, he was still human being.
Augustus did not have a perfect health; and he had to learn how to protect himself to
against the sickness. In winter, he was protected by a thick toga, four tunics, a shirt, a
flannel stomacher and swathing upon his legs and thighs. He could not bear even
sunlight in winter. When he went out, he always wore a broad brimmed hat [82].... Show

emperor. When time passed, he could not prevent himself to get old and his aspect was
not as before. Suetonius wrote Augustus as ...the sight of his left diminished. His few
teeth were weak and decayed. His hair curled slightly and was yellowish...His
complexion was between dark and pale... [79]. By few examples, readers would realize
besides many achievements during his life, Augustus also had to many problems as
normal people such as sickness or getting
Kotter s 8 Step Model Essay
Kotter s 8 Step Model. As mentioned before, there are several models that an
organization can use as a guide for transformational change. John Kotter s 8 Step Model
is one that addresses the nuances of change in more detail than Lewin s three step model.
His eight steps are (Parmenter, 2015):
Establish a sense of urgency.
Create a coalition to guide the change.
Develop a vision and strategy.
Communicate the vision.
Empowering broad based action.
Generate short term wins.
Consolidate gains and produce more change.
Anchor new approaches in the culture.
Many organizations may find this model to be more in depth and easier to incorporate,
yet, the steps cannot be skipped and the process can be very time consuming, which is the
biggest con to using this model. As a result, the method may not work for every
organization. Saying that, there other models that aid transformational change.
Nadler s Theory of Change Management
While one organization may thrive using either Lewin s or Kotter s model, there are
those organizations that may not find success with these approaches. Another popular
model was developed by David A. Nadler and is also known as the Congruence Model.
Nadler s model is based on the idea that every organization has four elements: people,
culture, structure and task. The higher the congruence, or compatibility, the better the
organization is at changing. His process requires an analysis of each of these elements
and how they interact.
