Writing a compare and contrast essay on the topic "Compare Contrast Essay Examples High School"
can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies not only in the research and analysis

To begin with, selecting suitable examples and finding relevant information about high school
experiences can be time-consuming. High school environments vary widely, and collecting
comprehensive data to draw meaningful comparisons might pose a challenge. Additionally, ensuring
that the chosen examples are representative and offer a balanced perspective is crucial for a

The Sun Also Rises And The Remains Of The Day Essay
Everyone in life has his or her own individual struggles that can impact his or her daily
life and can change the way he or she has to live his or her life. In the novels The Sun
Also Rises (1926) by Ernest Hemingway and The Remains of the Day (1989) by Kazuo
Ishiguro, the main characters share the struggle of impotence. The word impotent has
two different definitions, one being the inability to take effective action, or
helplessness. The second meaning is the inability for a man to have sex. No matter
which type of impotence a person may have, it can be a daily struggle for anyone
affected by it, which is displayed in both novels. The two novels share a common theme
of impotence that not only affects their characters lives, but also the... Show more content

In The Sun Also Rises, a big conflict in Jake s life is his inability to find happiness in his
life due to impotence, which causes him to drink heavily and be cynical towards most
things in life. Along with that, his struggle creates a storyline with Brett that centers on
the fact that they can never be a true couple because of his injury. Another way Jake s
impotence affects the course of the novel is the emasculate feelings it causes him to
have. His struggle with his masculinity causes tensions between him and the other men in
the novel who have similar emotions. These feelings between Jake and the other men
result in many fights and arguments between them all. The course The Remains of the
Day is driven by Stevens trying to break through his emotional impotence by traveling to
visit Mrs. Kenton and speaking to her about Darlington Hall. The novel s main conflict
is Stevens against himself, as he is fighting his inner battle with impotence. An example
of this struggle would be Stevens finding it difficult to adapt to the new progressive and
casual essence of Darlington Hall. Dealing with this struggle is what drives Stevens to
think about and relive the past. Everything that happened in both novels did so because
of the main character being impotent.
If the protagonist of each novel had not been affected by impotence both stories would be
drastically different. Without physical impotence, Jake and Brett would
Comparing The Novel Lord Of The Flies And Heart Of...
Topic: Comparing behavior of two main characters from two different books
Introduction
There are both similarities and differences between the protagonists of the Novels
Lord of the Flies (Golding) and Heart of Darkness (Conrad). In each case we have the
supposedly civilized individual(s) degenerating into savagery. As well, other characters
are involved and highly influenced by the protagonist(s). This report discusses these
two books and what can be observed from comparing works of essentially different
world perspectives one was published in 1902 and the other in 1954 and wholly
different environments and situations. Just as a simple example, there were no airplanes
in the time of Conrad s protagonist, vs. an airplane crash setting up the whole scenario
for Golding s characters. This report analyses the character Kurtz from Heart of Darkness
by Joseph Conrad, comparing him to Jack, a character in William Golding s famed novel
Lord of the Flies . Celebrated contemporary novelist, William Golding (1911 1993), the
1983 Nobel Laureate for Literature, is the author of Lord of the Flies (Li and Wu).
The book, published in 1954, was a critically successful work up until the 70 s. Ever
since its publication, this novel has been a best seller, studied in universities and schools
almost everywhere in the world. The book portrays the transformation of a group of
English school boys into savagery, after an airplane crash strands them on an island

Career Construction Interview Essay
I am more drawn to qualitative research than I am to quantitative research, so having
the opportunity to write in this way and assess a client in these terms is a preference
for me. In support of the Career Construction Interview over the O*Net profiler from a
counselor perspective is the ability to understand a client on a much deeper level and
obtain a significant amount of information, which merely matching interests to careers
cannot accomplish. By extracting life experiences, favored role models and preferred
book/movie characters, a counselor is able to gain insight (perhaps unrealized by the
client) into what may motivate a client to succeed in a career, their underlying values,
with whom he/she may like to work with and what sort of environment may bring out the
very best in what he/she has to offer.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A further positive aspect of an informal assessment is the ability for a client to express
him/herself in full sentences and evoke memories and aspects of his/her experiences that
have mattered to him/her. In this way, he/she may experience the exercise as more
meaningful and memorable. Finally, the Career Construction Interview may enable
clients who have undifferentiated profiles of interest, that is, a set of interests that are
not clearly defined, to gain some clarity through a deeper introspection into their
preferences in a way that is less formal and anxiety provoking and more engaging (Niles
Bowlsbey, 2017, p. 143). By telling stories and gaining some insight into their passions,
clients may find their interests become clear and well defined, and link to potential work
environments they may not have considered
The Greatest Horrors Of Wwii
Throughout history, humans have committed many atrocities against one another.
WWII was the birthplace for some of the worst crimes against humanity ever
committed. Often times, we view the United States as a hero in WWII; as a force that
fought on the side of good. However, the United States is not an exception when it
comes to detestable acts in WWII. Aside from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, one of our
worst acts as a superpower came during Japanese war crime investigations after the war
was over. During the trials of Unit 731, a deal was made with Ishii Shiro that the
government is still trying to cover up. First, it is important to review Unit 731 and the
U.S cover up so that we may address more detailed issues concerning this topic. We will
then explore the government statements on the issue of medical and military advances as
a result of the deal, and explore evidence that provides a contrary conclusion.
One of the greatest horrors of WWII, Unit 731, is often overlooked when talking about
WWII atrocities, perhaps because it is not taught in the secondary education curriculum.
Unit 731 was a top secret Japanese medical unit during the cold war that focused on
producing biological and bacteriological weapons during WWII. While biological and
bacteriological are, by many, considered to be inhumane in nature, Unit 731 went even
further by partaking in human experimentation in order to achieve greater knowledge
about these weapons, and to gain knowledge about anything that might

The Contamination Of The Gold Mining Company
Within the last couple of month there has been a mere excessive amount of water being
polluted and having toxic waste carelessly dumped. The Animas River of Colorado and
flowing through Utah, New Mexico, and high Northern Part of Arizona. But it s not just
the that, there are plenty of lakes and rivers that are being contaminated with toxic waste
all the time. And people seem to be very closed and okay with the fact their water
sources are dirty.
Well as a Native American, some of these parts the river flows are pretty much sacred
lands, and as well as the water very vital. But due to the government and the EPA
granting permission for the gold mining company to dump their whatever waste into
the river, now jeopardizing millions of people and creatures that rely on the water
source for survival. But after knowing they gave permission to do this, the EPA had
the nerves to go right around, apologize, but telling residents that live alongside the
flowing river to say the contamination was an accident . So as for this accidental spill,
now people and domesticated animals can t use this source for anything. As for
cleaning up, it may take a couple years until anything good can actually come out of it.
The thousands of gallon waste that were dumped into the water leaves a very thick
orange yellow color covering the whole. And since the part of the river flows through
Northern Arizona, where a very pristine and sacred land for the Navajo Nation, it s
disturbing and a disgrace
