SONNY ROLLINS (b. 1930)
‘A major figure in jaz since the late ‘40s, Sonny Rollins is one of the masters of the tenor saxophone. Early in his career he performed,
with jazz greats such as JJ. Johnson, Bud Powell, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk and Clifford Brown, then later recorded as leader of
his own groups. Many of his compositions are considered jazz classics.
