• brainstorm, plan, draft, edit and proofread written work at text level
• write with moderate grammatical accuracy and appropriate layout
• spell a range of high-frequency vocabulary accurately
• punctuate a range of written work in general and curricular topics

Listening
Learners should be able to:
• understand the main points, implied meaning and most specific information in unsupported
extended talk
• deduce meaning from context, recognise the opinion of the speaker(s) and understand
most of the detail of an argument in unsupported extended talk
• recognise typical features at word, sentence and text level
• listen critically to and draw conclusions from audio texts
