 1 General Information
This stripping tool must only be used for the
described purpose and operated in a technically
perfect condition, taking into account the safety
and risk information. Unauthorized modification
or improper use excludes the manufacturer’s
liability for all resulting damage.
To ensure a long service life and perfect
utilization, we recommend keeping the tool
clean and using it as any other precision tool.
We also recommend that the moving parts be
regularly lubricated.

3 Intended Use
The Quickstrip Vario Wire Stripper can be used
to reliably strip standard cables ranging from
0.03 to 16.0 mm².
NOTICE
The cable must be stripped to the correct
length for a correct crimping result. Please
observe the contact material specifications!

 5 Cutting Function
NOTE NOTICE
The tool can be used to cut solid cables up to 10 Before cutting, make sure that the cable has

6 Stripping
NOTE
By moving the “POWERPLUS” slider into the
plus (+) or minus (–) range, the tool can be
adjusted to different cable types and insula-
tion thicknesses. The tool is factory set and
delivered with POWERPLUS in center position,
allowing all standard cables to be stripped.
NOTICE
The partial stripping adjuster must be in the
maximum plus (+) position in order to fully strip
the insulation. Before stripping, make sure that
the cable has been disconnected from the
power supply!

7 Partial Stripping
The tool is equipped with a partial stripping unit.
Partial stripping allows the conductor strands to
be protected until the next work step, because
the stripping residue remains on the conductor.

NOTE
By moving the partial stripping adjuster into
the plus (+) or minus (–) range, the length of the
partial stripping is set (minus (-) = short | plus
(+) = long). The tool is factory set and delivered
with the adjuster in minus (-) position.
NOTICE
The partial stripping adjuster must be in minus
(-) position in order to partially strip the insula-
tion. Before partial stripping, make sure that the
cable has been disconnected from the power
supply!

During partial stripping, the partial stripping

adjuster is compressed from both sides and
moved according to the following table. Partial
stripping is performed just like stripping (see
point 6 ).

 8 Blade Replacement
INFORMATION
The replacement aid for easy blade exchange
is supplied with the spare blade set. The
basic tool comes without replacement aid
and spare blade set.

NOTICE
Do not touch the cutting edge when replacing
the blades. Risk of injury!

8.1 I nsert the replacement aid into the recess below 8.2 C
 ompress handles to the stop and hold in position.
the lower blade (arrow on the underside of the
replacement aid/raised portion toward the handles)
as shown in the picture.

8.3 P
 ush the blade out of the groove and remove it. 8.4 I nsert the new blades accordingly.
Repeat the same procedure for the upper blade.

8.5 Safely store the replacement aid and the unused

blades into the respective SAFELINE recesses.

9
 9 Locking the Tool

9.1 P
 ush down the locking device by pulling the tab and
compress the handels to insert the locking device
into the retaining lug. Engage the locking device on
the lower handle. The tool remains closed.
9.2 T
 he tool is locked in closed position. Compress the
handles to release the locking function. The locking
device engages into the upper handle.

10 Removing the PUR Spring Block

INFORMATION
The PUR spring block prevents a jerky move-
ment of the handles during stripping, which
protects both hands and forearms from wear
damage. The PUR spring block is a single
component that can be removed or mounted
as follows:

10.1 R
 emove the PUR spring block using a screwdriver. 10.2 T
 he PUR spring block has been removed.

10.3 P
 ut the PUR spring block back into place in the
reverse order of removal.
