Suicides-Personal Narrative
It s been over two weeks and Evan is still not sure what he s gotten himself into and the
only one to blame is himself and his wired therapy letters. So now where is he? Oh
yeah, pretending to be Connor Murphy s best friend because his parents thought he
wrote a suicide note to Evan. And of course, he just went with it. Told the Murphy s all
about his great friendship with their son who was surely going to kill him once he
woke up. Evan would love it if the ground could just open up and swallow him whole.
His phone ringing interrupts his daydream about no longer existing. Evan pulls his
phone out of his pocket and blanches when he sees it s Mrs. Murphy. H hello? he
answers cautiously. Maybe it was just a pocket dial, maybe he could just avoid the
Murphy s forever. Evan? She sounds concerned and tired like she has for the last few
weeks, but now there s some relief in her voice.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

That s your sister over there. Connor looks over at the girl in the chair, trying to put
together why his own sister would look so annoyed to be here. They must either hate
each other or she despises hospitals as much as he does himself. Maybe both. Connor
glances back at the boy in the chair and raises an eyebrow. Evan waves back lamely,
shoulders hunched in and leg bouncing nervously. His mom looks back and forth
between them before glancing at his dad. Larry, why don t we go see what we can get
Connor to eat. Zoe, could you try to find some coffee? The two in question look up
from what they re busying themselves with. They look at Connor and then Evan and
seem to get what his mom wants because they both start to collect their things. His
sister looks even more annoyed at this and his dad grumbles something under his breath
but they still comply. We ll be back in just a little bit. his mom promises. Give you some
time to talk or whatever you need to
Data Storage And Communication Systems Essay
Abstract Encryption is widely used to ensure security in data storage and communication
systems. This paper introduces a new concept for image encryption using a new method
we named it Meaning Of Location (MOL) . In this method, the private key is an image
that converted into RGB numbers and the public keyis random integers used to permutate
the image. The location of the RGB will be used to encrypt the plaintext. The
performance of this algorithm is investigated against many different attacks such as
ciphertext attacks, plaintext attacks and brute force attack. The analysis and statistical
tests show the strength of this algorithm. The results show that the MOL algorithm is
suitable for securing wired and wireless communication systems such as smartcards and
cell phone services.

Norman s Interpersonal Communication in the Movie, On Golden Pond

EXAMPLE The movie On Golden Pond is a fantastic vehicle with which to consider six
facets of interpersonal communication. The main character of the movie,
Norman, provides for a multifaceted study in relationships, both with his
self and with others.

I have chosen to focus this paper on several aspects of Norman s interpersonal

communication. On Golden Pond is a fascinating study in the discovery of Norman s
need to communicate with those he cares about in new ways. Our textbook defines
communication being interpersonal when the people involved are contacting each other
as persons (4). On Golden Pond is rich with excellent ... Show more content on

Even though the mail carrier attempts to communicate with Norman,
Norman will not let down his guard and connect interpersonally with him. During the
movie we learn that Norman is actually quite capable of moving towards the
interpersonal side of the communication continuum.
Norman develops a friendship with Billy, a teenager staying with Norman and
Ethel for a month. Throughout the movie Norman stretches his normally closed
communication patterns as he grows to care for Billy. Evidently
Norman is able to transcend his old pattern of shutting everyone out. He learns that he
must be willing to disclose a bit about himself if he wants a relationship with Billy.

Our text defines self presentation as the process of revealing or disclosing ourselves
by verbally and nonverbally telling other people something about who we are (233).
Norman s self concept is that of a dour old man waiting to die, and this is how he
presents himself. He views himself as a patriarch a man worthy of respect. His
inclination and habit is to keep himself hidden away from others.

A Johari Window (239 240) would be an interesting tool for analyzing

Norman s personal presentation and disclosure processes. Our textbook explains the
Johari Window as having four kinds of information about your self that play a part in
your communicating (240).
