The Lame Beggar

Acts 3:9-12
Act 3:9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
Act 3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful
gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at
that which had happened unto him.
Act 3:11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all
the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's,
greatly wondering.
Act 3:12 And when Peter saw [it], he answered unto the people, Ye men of
Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though
by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

 After his healing, he praised God.With the crowds gathering to see what
happened. Peter saw a moment to tell people about Jesus.

God.The beggar was a hero…he made the glory of Christ known once
again.Amen!!!

How about the Five Deacons

Acts 6:2-5
Act 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples [unto them],
and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve
tables.
Act 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest
report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this
business.
Act 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry
of the word.
Act 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose
Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and
Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte
of Antioch:

 Everyone has heard of Stephen and Phillip, but there was five other men
chosen to be deacons. They not only laid the foundation for the services in
the church, but their hard work also gave the apostles time they needed to
preach the gospel.

 Hear is another fine example of a few unsung heros in The kingdom of God,

but for the spreading of the gospel. These are the guys that stayed on their

Paul after his conversion.
 Wow……!!!!!

Then there was Cornelius?

Act 10:30-35
Act 10: 30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour;
and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before
me in bright clothing,
Act 10:31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had
in remembrance in the sight of God.
Act 10:32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname
is Peter; he is lodged in the house of [one] Simon a tanner by the sea side:
who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Act 10:33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done
that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to
hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
Act 10:34 Then Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive
that God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness, is accepted with him.

 The Bible says that Cornelius was a devout man that feared God with all his
house, which gavew alms to all people and prayed to God always.

 He also showed Peter the equality between Jewish christian and Gentile
Christians and how everyone should have the opportunity to be saved.

because of this Unsung heroes faith. Amen!

Who has heard of Rhoda?

Act 12:13-15
Act 12:13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to
hearken, named Rhoda.
Act 12:14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for
gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
Act 12:15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly
affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
Her persistant convinced them to let Peter into Mary’s home where he
would be safe. If it hadnt been for her persistance Peter might have been in
a world of trouble. This small thing is what being a Unsung Hero is all about.
Amen!!!!

Acts 15:13-21
Act 15: 13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying,
Men [and] brethren, hearken unto me:
Act 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles,
to take out of them a people for his name.
Act 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of
David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I
will set it up:
Act 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the
Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these
things.
Act 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the
world.
Act 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from
among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions
of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from]
blood.
Act 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him,
being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

 He took charge of the Jerusalem council and he had the Courage and
Discernment to make a decision that would affect literally millions of
Christians over many generations.
 He made it possible for the Jews and Gentiles to get along and by doing so
it helped the church grow without conflict. The Jews agreed that the
gentiles did not have to be circumsized as long as the stayed away from
idolatry and idol worship.

 James courageously paved part og the way for us with his ability to
communicate with the right people… Amen!
Jason

Acts 17:5-9
Act 17:5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto
them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and
set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought
to bring them out to the people.
Act 17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain
brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world
upside down are come hither also;
Act 17:7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the
decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, [one] Jesus.
Act 17:8 And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they
heard these things.
Act 17:9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they
let them go.
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night
unto Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews.
