Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed members of society, and honorable decision-makers,

It is essential that we consider the enormous progress we have made in advancing reproductive
health and rights in the Philippines as we come together here today, on the cusp of advancement
and social transformation. The Reproductive Health (RH) Law stands as a shining beacon of
hope, a testament to our unwavering dedication to the well-being of every Filipino citizen,
regardless of gender, age, or socioeconomic status.

In a nation where access to comprehensive reproductive health services was once but a distant
dream for many, the RH Law has brought tangible improvements to the lives of countless
individuals and families. It has given women the agency to achieve economic independence,
educational opportunities, and rewarding occupations by empowering them to claim control over
their bodies and futures. These days, couples have the information and resources needed to
thoughtfully plan the development of their family, making sure that every child is welcomed into
a loving home that satisfies all of their needs.

Moreover, the RH Law has been instrumental in addressing pressing public health concerns such
as teenage pregnancy, maternal mortality, and the spread of sexually transmitted infections. By
promoting access to modern contraceptives and comprehensive sexuality education, it has
contributed to a reduction in unwanted pregnancies and unsafe abortions, thereby safeguarding
the lives and well-being of women and their families.

We must not allow fear, ignorance, or ideological differences to cloud our judgment or hinder
our progress toward a fairer and more equitable society. Instead, let us reaffirm our commitment
to the principles enshrined in the RH Law and redouble our efforts to ensure its effective
implementation and enforcement. Let us stand in solidarity with the millions of men, women,
and children who rely on access to reproductive health services to exercise their fundamental
rights and pursue their aspirations.

Recognizing the pivotal role of reproductive health care in empowering individuals to make
informed decisions about their bodies and futures is paramount. By guaranteeing access to these
vital resources, we can foster the holistic development and well-being of our society as a whole.
Together, let us dismantle barriers and forge a society where every individual can thrive and
realize their full potential.

To summarize, I implore each and every one of you, my fellow supporters and progressivists, to
firmly support the RH Law and its commendable objectives. Together, we can surmount the
remaining barriers to reproductive health services, such as stigma, prejudice, and limited
resources. Let's take advantage of this opportunity to create a future in which every Filipino has
the freedom to choose their reproductive path and can live with equality and dignity.

To repeal the RH Law would be to regress—a betrayal of our collective commitment to

advancement and social justice. Let us, instead, march forward with courage and conviction,
knowing that a healthier, more prosperous future awaits us all.

Thank you.
