Detailed Lesson Plan in Four Kinds of Sentences

I. Objectives
At the end of the 45-minute discussion 75% of the English 3B students
can;

a) identify the four kinds of sentences;


b) appreciate how the four kinds of sentences can be beneficial in
conversation through making a dialogue; and,
c) construct sentences according to the given scenario using
declarative, imperative, interrogative and exclamatory sentence.

this is a game called Pick Me, Make
Me. I have here a folded strips of
paper where I wrote some punctation
marks and the kind of sentence, I
need you to make some sentences
according to what punctation you had
pick, understood? I think everybody
has an idea what is sentences right?

the common sentence we use.
Understand? let’s take a look at the
example sentences. This one is a
declarative sentence.

Sampaguita is our national flower.


Renalyn is Gorgeous.

period.

to read an interrogative sentence well.
You have to sound like you’re really
asking a question. Don’t just read it
as if it’s a declarative sentence so you
won’t be misunderstood when

imperative sentence. Please read the

command or request or direction. It
also ends with a period or

In this kind of sentence, you’re giving
a strong reaction or feelings, the best
example of this is when your angry,
your surprise or when you’re excited.

sentences.

Group4: Your teacher informed you about your failing marks.

IV. Assignment

1. Write a short narrative about your most unforgettable experience.


Use at least 4 declarative, 4 imperative, 4 exclamatory and 4
interrogative sentences.
2. Define what is dangling modifier and misplaced modifier.
