Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay of Argumentation" can be both challenging and rewarding.
On one hand, it requires a deep understanding of the subject matter, the ability to critically analyze
various perspectives, and the skill to present a coherent and persuasive argument. On the other hand,
it demands careful research, effective organization of ideas, and the artistry of language to engage
and convince the reader.
To craft a compelling argumentative essay, one must delve into the complexities of the chosen topic,
exploring its nuances and considering opposing viewpoints. This involves extensive research to
gather relevant information, data, and credible sources to support the arguments being presented.
Developing a well-structured essay requires a keen sense of logic and a clear progression of ideas,
ensuring that each point flows seamlessly into the next.
Additionally, expressing one's thoughts persuasively is a crucial aspect of argumentative writing. This
involves not only a mastery of language but also an understanding of rhetorical devices and
persuasive techniques. Crafting a compelling introduction to grab the reader's attention, constructing
a solid thesis statement, and providing effective transitions between paragraphs are all essential
components of a successful argumentative essay.
Moreover, the challenge lies in maintaining a balance between passion and objectivity. While it's
essential to convey a strong stance on the topic, it's equally important to acknowledge and address
counterarguments with respect and fairness. Striking this balance requires a thoughtful and nuanced
approach to writing.
The Concord Bookshop is a small town bookstore with a 64 year history and a cultural
appeal enjoyed by the citizens of the town. In recent years the economic environment
created fierce competition for the bookstore, coupled with a need for innovative
technology meant a need for restructuring. The financial status of the bookshop was in
grave distress. Fearing financial ruin the board members made a unanimous decision to

Behaviour Change Change can be successful if a company or group within the
organization changes the way an individual presents oneself (Spector, 2010). Behavior
change is based on how an individual works within the environment. The employees of
Concord Bookshop were not consulted therefore did not have an opportunity to
verbalize their concerns or provide input to assist the company to move the bookstore in
a new direction. The management team was aware of the financial distress and was
willing to participate in any financial changes required. The employees of the bookstore
had an abundance of knowledge and experience that may have contributed to ending
financial turmoil (Schein, 2011). Open dialogue between the employees and owners may
have facilitated the development and collaboration of new ideas in a competitive
environment. The new strategies could have provided a new direction for the bookstore.
According to Burnes, in discussing Kurt Lewin s Change Model, for change to be
effective within a group there has to be a collective approach by each member of the
group (2004).
Conclusion
The Concord Bookshop was a well respected historical bookstore facing financial
challenges. While the bookstore employed knowledgeable and dedicated employees, the
owners and board members did not engage
Society s Perception Of Abraham Lincoln s Depression
I have a challenge for you. Find me one famous person who does or did not suffer from
some form of a mental disorder or setback. Doesn t it seem like the prevalence of
famous people from celebrities to politicians who suffer from some form of a mental
disorder outweighs the famous people who don t. Think about it. Only ten percent of
the population suffer with depression. However, almost everyone who s in the spotlight
in modern society suffers from a mental setback. Even a lot of historical figures also
suffer from a lot of different mental setbacks. For example, someone might have an
eating disorders, addiction, depression etc all steaming from untreated depression.
Specifically, I will analyze Abraham Lincoln s depression, depression itself, society s
perception of Abraham Lincoln s depression, and ways society should improve to help
those sufferingfrom depression. Depression is a mental disorder affecting the brain
usually caused by a chemical imbalance. Abraham Lincoln suffered from major
depression also referred to as his melancholy . Society needs to realize that the label of
depression doesn t need to hold you back; rather, it helps propel some people through
society s aristocratic class. Depression is a double edge sword creating self hatred and
causes some people to be overly self critical. On the other hand, the self hatred that it
creates pushes people over the edge to try to change themselves into society perfect
person and, like Lincoln some of
Capitalism And Freedom Milton Friedman Summary
In Capitalism and Freedom, Milton Friedman claims that a capitalist economy means
economic freedom. But capitalism can create monopolies, which own commodities
exclusively. A capitalist economic system requires a free market and the absence of
government intervention in order to function. We can argue that a capitalist economic
system does not necessarily mean individual or economic freedom. Instead, it promotes
corruption and inequality. According to Friedman, Economic freedom is also an
indispensable means toward the achievement of political freedom, (Friedman 1). He
says that in order to have political freedom, we need to have economic freedom. In a
capitalist economy people thinks that they are free to sell a commodity, but they are
