Short Personal Essay

Writing a short personal essay about oneself might initially seem like a straightforward task, but as
one delves into the process, the complexity becomes apparent. The challenge lies not only in
articulating thoughts and experiences coherently but also in striking the right balance between self-
reflection and engaging storytelling.

Crafting a personal essay demands introspection, a task that can be both revealing and challenging.
Unraveling the layers of one's personality and selecting the most poignant aspects to share requires a
delicate touch. It's not just about narrating events but also about conveying the emotions and lessons
learned. The challenge is to be authentic without veering into self-indulgence.

The brevity of a short personal essay further compounds the difficulty. Every word must carry
weight, and each sentence should contribute to the overall narrative. Distilling one's life or a specific
aspect of it into a limited word count demands careful selection and omission, a task akin to
sculpting where excess material is chiseled away to reveal the essence.

Moreover, the fear of self-exposure can be intimidating. Sharing personal anecdotes requires a level
of vulnerability that many find uncomfortable. Striking the right tone – honest yet not overly
confessional – is a tightrope walk. Achieving this balance is perhaps one of the most challenging
aspects of writing a short personal essay.

Despite these difficulties, the process of self-discovery through writing can be immensely rewarding.
It offers an opportunity to reflect on one's experiences, values, and growth. It's a chance to connect
with readers on a personal level, making the essay relatable and impactful.

In conclusion, crafting a short personal essay is a nuanced undertaking that goes beyond mere
storytelling. It involves self-exploration, careful word selection, and the delicate art of revealing
without overexposing. The end result, however, can be a powerful narrative that resonates with
others on a deeply personal level.

Buddhist Meditation Practice Essay
Over this past year I have been involved in a buddhist meditation practice, I have been
through stages of resisting, doubting, and now more accepting this practice. The buddhist
meditation practice I participated in is a controversial religion in Taiwan. Even though
the religion has almost a hundred thousand followers including celebrities and business
leaders, the religionitself is still being judged by others due to its beliefs. The leader
himself, Miao Chan, used to be a stuntman and established the religion twenty years ago.
Few years later, he claimed that he has attained full Buddhahood just like Buddha did
2600 years ago. The practice consists of meditationand buddhismlearning. On weekdays,
followers attend small sessions of meditation and learn about buddhism. On Sundays,
followers go to a stadium and meditate with Miao Chan for two hours. My mother
joined the religious group one and a half year ago and invited me to meditate with her.
I was persuaded to join the group and hated it at first. I always heard that meditation is
a healthy exercise for people, so when my mother started doing it I was really happy
for her. Then it all changed once I joined her. I realized that there was not just
meditations, we were also asked to pray to Master Miao Chan. Master Miao Chan was
not like any monk I see in other buddhist group, he is relatively young and has a wife that
attends all the Sunday meditation session with him. To me, bowing down to a man that
claims himself
The Mental Health Of Adolescents Essay
Student s name Instructor s name Course Date Health Care Introduction The mental
health of adolescents is fairly considered to be one of the major prerequisites of the
country s sustainable development in economics, culture, and social life. Subsequently,
the easy and nondiscriminatory access to the psychological treatment appears to be a
matter of top priority for the federal government. Nevertheless, the recent statistical data
indicates the substantial problems in terms of providing the adolescents with the
necessary medical support. In accordance with the US Department of Health Human
Services, in 2014, less than 50% of the country s adolescent population were provided
with a required treatment (US Department of Health Human Services). Moreover, the
data on the minorities access to the mental health treatment demonstrates that, for
instance, African Americans are twice as likely as whites to be prescribed a treatment
from schizophrenia (American Psychological Association). Undoubtedly, such a trend
may be primarily explained by the insufficient efforts of both federal and local health care
institutions in terms of providing the minorities representatives with the necessary
psychological treatment. Consequently, in order to understand comprehensively the
problem of the adolescent mental health in the US, it is necessary to define the issue
related objective and subjective concerns as well as to analyze the peculiarities of a
potential corrective to the
Roman Empire And The Han Dynasty Contrast
Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty Contrast Rise of the Roman Empire The Roman
Empire is still known today as one of history s most powerful period. Rome
government had stick rules and policies. The Roman government at this point was
known as the Roman Republic. The Roman Republic was controlled by the roar Rome.
Bureaucracy was ran throughout the region, but Rome did not want this nor could they
afford it. However, they did allow small cities to run a lower level of government. The
exercise of indirect rule thus became a basic principle of imperial government. The
business of local administration and jurisdiction was delegated to the existing
communities of city or tribe. This type of structure was deemed to be a weakness to
some historians because of the consequences. Consequences that allow a third level
government to enforce the emperor s rules. Because of the expansion of the territory, this
was the only reasonable way for it to function normally. The empire was a commonwealth
of cities which acted as economic and cultural of the Roman world and were integrated
into the administrative system as local foci of government. This imperial ruling was first
implemented by Rome. It came about because of social trends and not the Roman
strategic policies that was often changed by Romanized upper class citizens. These upper
classman brought about firmness throughout the land with their strategic and educated
planning.

In this book, not only is there no happy ending, there is no happy beginning and very
few happy things happen in the middle. Page 1If the title is A Series of Unfortunate

waste the time putting that in the book? I don t know if you ve ever noticed this, but
