REGISTRATION TERMS AND POLICIES

To be published in the IEEE Africon 2021 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE
Xplore, at least one author of an accepted paper is required to REGISTER for the conference at the (IEEE
Member or non-IEEE Member) rate, excluding any Student Member, Student non-Member, Life Member,
and One-day registration, Workshop/Tutorial/Special Sessions and Accompanying person categories.

One IEEE Member or non-IEEE Member REGISTRATION allows the author to upload up to one (1) paper and
get a 50% discount on the second paper which he/she is an author or co-author, this is applicable to the
papers accepted in the technical program and special sessions. Any subsequent papers from the same
author must be paid in full amount.

The paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants
permission in advance of the event for a substitute presenter, who is qualified both to present and answer
questions.

Registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the
paper.

NB: It is IEEE Africon 2021 policy that if you are a student presenting a paper, you MUST register as
an author (i.e., IEEE Member or non-IEEE Member)

REFUND POLICY:

All refund/cancellation requests must be provided in writing and emailed to dina.machuve@nm-aist.ac.tz

(mailto:dina.machuve@nm-aist.ac.tz) by Monday, 06 September 2021. An administrative fee of US$100 will
be charged for each refund.

All requests for registration transfers must be provided in writing and email to dina.machuve@nm-aist.ac.tz
(mailto:dina.machuve@nm-asit.ac.tz) by Monday, 06 September 2021. Registration rate difference will
apply depending on the membership status of the new registration. All transfer requests received Monday,
06 September 2021 will be charged an additional US$100.

All payments made via wire transfer and check must be received 45 days after your registration is made. If
not your registration will be cancelled. All refund/cancellation requests must be provided in writing and
received by Monday, 06 September 2021. There will be an administrative fee of US$100 deducted from
each refund. You can modify or cancel your registration using the “Already Registered?” link on the
registration site.

ENTITLEMENTS FOR ALL CONFERENCE ATTENDEES:

All IEEE Members, non-IEEE Members conference registrant categories are entitled access to the virtual
platform during the conference period and up to two (2) months post the conference, Opening Ceremony,

Keynotes, Technical Sessions, Proceedings downloads, Award ceremony, and digitally signed certificate of
attendance.

All IEEE Student Members, non-Student Members and iEEE Life Members conference registrant categories
are entitled access to virtual platform during the entire conference period and up to two (2) weeks post the
conference, Opening ceremony, Keynotes, Technical Sessions, Proceedings downloads, Award ceremony,
and digitally signed certificate of attendance.

All Special Sessions (Workshop and Tutorial) and One Day Only conference registrants categories are
entitled to a whole day access to the virtual platform, Keynotes, all Workshops, Tutorials and any Technical
session of the day.

All Accompanying persons conference registrants categories are entitled to a whole day access to the
virtual platform, Keynotes, all Workshops, Tutorials and any Technical session of the day, Opening
Ceremony and Award ceremony.

Children are not permitted entry into conference session rooms or on the Exhibit Hall floor during setup,
dismantling or conference program hours. Your support and compliance are greatly appreciated.
