I. Introduction

Urbanization is likely to be one of the defining phenomena of the 21st Century for Latin
America as well as the rest of the developing world. The world as a whole became more
urban than rural sometime in 2007, a demographic change that was driven by rapid
urbanization in the developing countries. For the Latin American region, this ... Show

This migration flow contributed to rapid urban growth, population concentration, and
territorial expansion of these large cities. This process took place in relatively large cities
with a significant consumer market together with a relatively good infrastructure and
equipment.
Urbanization in Latin America increased in fifty years (1925 1975) from 25% to 61.2%.
The pace of urbanization, however, declined between 1975 and 2000 and currently the
proportion of people living in urban areas reached 75.3%. While for Latin America
during the period 1925 1950 the urban growth rate almost doubled the total growth rate
and the urbanization rate was 2.0%, more recently, between 1975 2000 the urban growth
rate was just almost 50% higher than the total growth rate and the urbanization rate fell to
0.8%. To characterize the urbanization process within Latin America is not an easy task,
since there is a great deal of heterogeneity among countries in terms of their population,
territory and sociodemographic characteristics. In the year 2000 there are countries with
population around 100 million inhabitants (Brazil and México) and other with less than
five millions (Uruguay,Jamaica and Panamá).
How Technology Has Changed Today
Technology has changed drastically from the 1970s to now. We have exceeded what
most people back then could ever imagine. The technology used in schools, homes, and
in public places has evolved into technology that makes the cutting edge technology of
the 70s look very simple. Things such as the personal computer, the cell phone, electronic
games, TVs, and even watches have changed completely. The ways that they have
exceeded expectations is truly unbelievable.

Home technology has taken a gigantic step since the 1970s as not only has the
performance improved, but more families have begun to feel a necessity to have these
appliances. In 1977 the Apple 2 Computer was released to the public. What was then
considered an ordinary computer for ordinary people is now seen only in museums
and dumps. The personal computer was one of the first personal computer with no
additional parts required to buy, such as cases for the computer or a way to supply it
power. The Apple 2 was also had great graphics for its time and was very easy to use
for normal people. We now have computers in our phones, but in the 1970s the Apple 2
was one of the only computer that you could effectively use at work, school, or at home
(computerhistory.org). However, all of that is nothing compared to the computers we
currently use. Now most families have a laptop computer that is portable and has a long
battery life without having to remain plugged into a power outlet. The computers have

Narrative Essay Kindergarten
All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair
down to their waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair
did not grow very fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was
only about to my chin when I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my
first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in Señora Vargas s Kindergarten class
holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I had been
really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy blue dress and my
hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve
racking. Most of the parents were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while
the kids tried to find their place. Some kids had already began to play games with one
another. Others, like me, were more shy, still clinging to their parent. In all the
commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hairin the entire class of kindergartners.
She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and the hair I
had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple the length, and
with more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had
everything I had ever wished for in my entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at
that time because I did not really understand that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn t
really move

Wendy! Wendy! Come on! We have to leave now if we want to get back before night

hole all by himself, which is unusual for six week old penguins. He was as wise as the
oldest emperor penguinalive.
Slow your waddle J. we will get there when we get there. she sighed waddling along the
well known path. Wendy is a very short Emperor penguin, almost too small for her age,
but she sure makes up for it by being the coolest penguin in their waddle. Jeorge, why
do you insist to come with me every time? You know the water hole is dangerous for
you; You can t even swim yet! ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
