Self Essay Example

Writing an essay on the topic of oneself may seem like a straightforward task, as who could possibly
know you better than you know yourself? However, the challenge lies in presenting a comprehensive
and insightful reflection that not only captures the essence of your identity but also engages the
reader. It requires a delicate balance between self-awareness and objectivity.

One of the difficulties in crafting a self-essay is avoiding self-indulgence or the tendency to

romanticize one's experiences. It's essential to strike a balance between humility and confidence,
showcasing personal growth without coming across as boastful. Finding the right tone and language
to convey your thoughts without sounding overly self-centered can be a fine line to walk.

Additionally, self-reflection demands a level of honesty that can be uncomfortable at times.

Addressing personal weaknesses or challenges may require vulnerability, which can be challenging
for some individuals. Striking a balance between showcasing strengths and acknowledging areas for
improvement requires a delicate touch.

Another aspect that makes self-essays challenging is the risk of clichés and generic statements. It's
easy to fall into the trap of using commonplace phrases, making the essay less memorable and
impactful. Crafting a unique narrative that stands out from the multitude of self-reflective pieces is a
task that demands creativity and originality.

In conclusion, writing a self-essay is a nuanced task that involves navigating the fine line between
self-awareness and objectivity, humility and confidence, and uniqueness and cliché. It requires
introspection, honesty, and a careful choice of language to create a compelling narrative. However,
overcoming these challenges can lead to a rich and insightful essay that provides a genuine glimpse
into the author's identity.

Similarities And Differences Between Rural And Pakistan...
COMPARISON BETWEEN RURAL AND URBAN SOCIETY QUESTION: Pakistani
society is divided into 2 segments. Draw a comparison of rural and urban way of life.
INTRODUCTION Pakistani society is divided into 2 parts which are called rural areas
and urban areas. Rural areas are those which are not fully developed and lack basic
facilities such as villages and hamlets. Urban areas are those which are fully developed
and provide basic facilities as well as luxuries to the people living here such as towns
and cities. Being an agricultural society, 80% of the people in Pakistan live in rural
areas. The remaining % lives in urban areas. Urban areas completely differ from rural
areas in Pakistan. URBAN SOCIETY Urban society is highly structured society. It has a
unique pattern of life. Urban... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Primary relations of members are strong as compared to the people of urban areas. As
people do not meet in gatherings or events and just interact and enjoy within own
family. Secondary relations are not very strong. However people do not suffer from
psychological issues. STUCTURE Rural areas have a weak infrastructure. They are
not fully developed. Houses are not made with strong basis and quality bricks and that
s why living in them makes it very difficult. They lack facilities to ease the living.
FACILITIES OF LIFE In rural societies, the cost of living is very low as advanced living
is not available. Technology isn t used or invented at all. There are no educational
facilities as well which increase the rate of illiteracy. Roads are not there for convenience
of people and these areas are mostly covered with fields, animals, few small huts or
houses and greenery. BASIC FACILITIES Food, clothing and housing are not easily
available due to low production and low income of people. And so people can t access
them easily. Drainage system is also very poor and even clean water for drinking
purposes is not there for the people.
Analysis Of Patricia Hill Collins s Black Feminists
Among the central claims of black feminists is the inseparability of the structures and
systems of gender, race, and class. Most black feminists deny it is possible for women to
focus exclusively on their oppression as women. On the contrary, each woman needs to
understand how everything about her provides part of the explanation for her subordinate
status. In Black Feminist Thought, Patricia Hill Collinsexplores the words and ideas of
Black feminist intellectuals as well as those African American women outside academia.
In reclaiming and legitimizing the ideas of women of such diverse backgrounds, Collins
demonstrates that there is indeed a distinct philosophical tradition among African
American women that is both Afrocentric and feminist in its themes and approaches.
According to Collins, African American women inhabit a sex/genderhierarchy in which
inequalities of race and social class have been sexualized. By examining the links
between sexuality and power, Collins reveals how important controlling Black women
s sexuality has been to the effective operation of domination overall. In other words,
Collins claims that sexuality becomes a domain of restriction and repression when it is
tied to race, class, and gender. Comparably, in her book Imposing Decency: The
Politics of Sexuality and Race, Eileen J. Suarez Findlay, exposes the race related double
standards of sexual norms and practices in Puerto Rico. Findlay, examines concepts of
honor based on gendered and
Minecraft Moodding Community Analysis
Whether you are just watching developers live stream the designing of their mods,
making mods yourself, or just enjoying the commentary of various YouTuber s
interactions with the developers, the Minecraft modding community is extremely easy to
become a part of. During my observations, I had interactions with people on Twitch,
YouTube, MinecraftForum.net and the Industrial Craft 2 forum. The community pulls
you in by teaching you the complicated intricacies of moddingsuch a simple game. Since
my personal background is Computer Science, I decided to dive head first into the
technical side of the community. The Forge ModLoader is the primary framework used to
build mods. It is also the way people load more than one modinto the game. Its... Show

MCP was originally developed by Thomas Guimbretière, better known as ProfMobius.
ProfMobius is clearly an integral part of the community. Currently, he works for
Mojang (developers of Minecraft and acquired by Microsoft), but previously has made
multiple mods for the game and is part of a group that calls themselves Forgecraft, a
group of servers where mod developers can test their mods in a private environment. A
number of YouTubers and Twitch streamers also gather on the server and interact with
the developers in a way that I ve never seen in a community before. I feel like the
publicity Forgecraft provides for mod developers is one of the reason s that Minecraft
mod development is so popular. One of the most influential names in the Forgecraft
community is Direwolf20. He started uploading videos to YouTube showcasing
Minecraft Mods back in 2011 and has been posting a video nearly every day since.
Being one of the first channels to showcase mods individually, Direwolf20 played a
huge role in growing the modding community from the ground up. In the book Reality
is Broken, Jane McGonigal claims Compared with games, reality is lonely and isolating.
Games help us band together and create powerful l communities from scratch
(McGonigal, 2011). Direwolf20 wanted to show the world the cool things that Minecraft
mod developers were making, and did so by forming a
Genetic Discrimination Essay
Genetic Discrimination

The fear of genetic discrimination is a phobia gripping many people around the world.
People find themselves asking, could my genetic information raise my health bills?
Could this cause me to be rejected from a job opportunity? These anxieties are causing
people to lash out at genetic research, and ultimately the human genome project. People
do not want our understanding of human genomics to advance. This is because the risks
of the development of the technology could inflict on them. A major risk is genetic
discrimination. I believe that genetic discrimination is wrong and governments should
continue to prevent it because it is an invasion of privacy, it violates equity, and it could
really hurt people with genetic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I fully support these laws because I am against genetic discrimination. Many risks
could be poised if genetic discrimination was legal. First of all, it is invasion of privacy.
Your genetic information is YOUR genetic information. It is not anyone else s
business and you should not be required to make it public. If genetic information was a
requirement when applying for a job or health insurance, people could make biased
opinions and that almost immediately ends your chance of getting what you applied
for. Therefore, people with genetic disabilities would have a hard time facing the
discrimination. These people would be lucky to get a job and their health bills would
go through the roof. I think that having a disability does not mean you are not able to
be a reliable worker, and it also doesn t necessarily mean your health will be significantly
impacted. Besides, it is wrong to discriminate against people just because of who they
are! In addition, genetic discrimination does not promote equal opportunities. For
example, in Hong Kong three men were denied the opportunity in being in the disciplined
forces (law enforcement) because a parent had schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental

disorder that hurts a person s ability to process their thoughts, and overall makes them
prone to emotional responses.
