Essay On Environmental Problems

Writing an essay on the topic of environmental problems can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires
a deep understanding of various interconnected issues and a comprehensive approach to addressing
them. The complexity of the subject arises from the multitude of environmental issues, ranging from
climate change and pollution to deforestation and loss of biodiversity.

One of the challenges is the need for extensive research to gather accurate and up-to-date
information on the various environmental problems. The field is dynamic, with new research findings
and developments emerging regularly, making it crucial for the essay to reflect the latest scientific
understanding. This requires time and effort to sift through a vast amount of literature and data.

Furthermore, the interconnected nature of environmental problems demands a holistic approach to

analysis and solutions. Writers need to consider the interplay between different issues and understand
how they contribute to the overall environmental crisis. This complexity makes it challenging to
present a clear and concise argument while doing justice to the intricacies of the subject matter.

Crafting an effective essay also involves the challenge of engaging the audience and conveying a
sense of urgency regarding environmental issues. It requires skillful use of language to communicate
the severity of the problems and the importance of taking action. Striking the right balance between
conveying the gravity of the situation and offering viable solutions is no easy task.

In addition to the intellectual challenges, the emotional aspect of the topic can be demanding.
Environmental problems often evoke strong emotions and concerns, and writers need to navigate
through these sensitivities while presenting a well-reasoned and evidence-based argument.

In conclusion, writing an essay on environmental problems requires in-depth research, a

comprehensive understanding of the interconnected issues, effective communication skills, and a
delicate handling of emotional nuances. Despite the challenges, addressing such a critical topic is
essential for raising awareness and inspiring action to protect our planet.

How Juudo Has Changed My Life
Judo has been a large part of my life since I was six years old. Twenty one years have
passed since I started judo, and the role that it has played in my life has transformed
tremendously over the years. To me, judo has always been a sport. I have practiced
countless of hours on perfecting the technique of my throws, sweeps, pins, chokes, and
armbars, and my work has paid off in competition. I have competed in multiple
tournaments on the national and international scope, and I have won awards in both
shiai (sparring) and kata (form). However, judo to me changed into so much more after
my experience at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games during the summer after my
high schooljunior year.
That year, I was given the honor of volunteering for three days as a ... Show more content

Not only did I involve myself at the Judo club in UCLA as an undergraduate, but I also
later worked to further expand the judo community in the US. The absence of any US
competitors in the 2015 judo Special Olympics competition, even though the US
hosted the event, highlighted the lack of contribution by judo organizations in the US
toward providing classes and tournament events for athletes of intellectual disability.
Being able to study international development in UCLA, as well as study abroad,
gave me the skills I needed to study the ways in which judo organizations in countries
like France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and even Nigeria ran their judo programs for
children and adults of special needs. With this knowledge, I worked with judo
instructors in the US who shared a similar passion for helping athletes with special
needs to create in 2025 a new organization dedicated to expanding special needs judo
classes and events across the US, as well as finally getting a US team to be top
contenders in the Special Olympics World
Two Survivors Of The Holocaust
Two Survivors of the Holocaust Don t Worry this is not one of those gross and gory
stories about the Holocaust. It is and compare and contrast of two families where some
members survived, but some unfortunately did not. The two families being talked about
are the Weismann s and the Klein s. Many Jews lives were lost during the holocaust, but
there is also many who survived such a traumatic event. These people s stories can be
so different, but also so alike at the same time and that is what I am going to elaborate on
today.
Kurt and Gerda s lives before the war before the war were very different, mostly
because of their living circumstances were so different. Before the war started Kurt a
year after his sister moved to the United States of America, and Gerda and her family
stayed in their homeland of Poland until were kicked out later on after the World War 2
started. When Kurt first moved to America it was just him and his sister. About a year
later their brother was lucky enough to make it there as well, in the year of 1938.
September 1st 1939 Nazi invaded Poland. A short time after Gerda s Brother Arthur
was forced to leave in a Nazi transport along with other young men in their town, and
had to leave the family. Kurt got to be with his siblings unlike Gerda, and Gerda got to
be with her parents unlike Kurt. Kurt s family had plans to all be in America together, but
many things got in the way of Kurt s parents getting there. Such as new immigration laws
and getting
The Impact Of Global Competition On The American...
The American automotive industry has been under a lot of pressure over recent years
due to increased concern for the environment and increased global competition. An
environmental scan on the American automotive industry shows that the global
competition is a great cause for concern, new technology is providing an edge, emissions
and laws regulating them are as tight as ever, and consumer opinion is reflecting concern
for this.

Global Competition

Global competition in recent years has had a great effect on the American automotive
industry. More efficient cars being developed overseas posed a threat to local
companies market shares (Investopedia, 2015). Market shares of largely well known
companies such as General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler all suffered losing between three
and ten percent of their previously held market shares between 2000 2014 to foreign
competitors (Investopedia, 2015). For decades, the United States had the best
technological advances in the industry and it was very difficult for competition to
survive. In response to this, companies overseas invested significant amounts of money
into researching new innovations and ways to produce better automobiles than the
United States (Investopedia, 2015). Also, because of the difference between currency
values, the cost of labor in other countries is lower than here. This allows foreign
companies to be able to sell their products at lower costs and attract customers through
undercutting their competitors
Harnischfeger Corporation
1. Read the footnotes carefully. Identify four accounting policy changes and accounting
estimates that Harnischfeger made during 1984 and estimate as accurately as possible
the effect of these changes on the company s 1984 reported profits? One accounting
change that Harnischfeger made was that they were going to include products
purchased from Kobe Steel in their net sales. Before November 1, 1983 only the gross
margin on Kobe products was included in their net sales. Harnischfeger was also going
to include the financial statements of certain foreign subsidiaries were included on the
basis of their fiscal years ended July 31 to September 30. Even though there was no
significant impact on net income, this did help to increase their... Show more content on

Do you believe investors in Harnischfeger will see through the company s accounting
changes? I believe that Harnischfeger s management strategy was a good idea. It
provided motivation and showed, through the financial statements, that the company was
able to make a profit again. Since the company increased net income this may lead
investors to believe that the changes are part of a forward looking business strategy and
could increase the company s stock price . It does seem very suspicious that all of these
changes occurred within a year and I think this will raise a lot of questions with their
investors. The investors might think that the company is trying too hard to make their
financial statements look good by their 100th anniversary. Investors might also find out
that a lot of this motivation will come at a large cost, with having the top executive
officers have incentive compensation. Investors might also be concerned that the
company is decreasing the amount of R D spending, but still trying to explore different
high technology product lines and services. I would have thought with trying to do this
they would want to spend more money on R D. A final thing investors might notice is the
extension of deprecation lives for their plants, machinery, and equipment. Although this is
being done to increase their net income, this might not be such a smart strategy for the
company. 4. Assess the company s future prospects
National Junior Honor Society Reflection
One important activity on the list, is being involved in the National Honors Society. This
organization recognizes scholars and well rounded students in middle and high school.
These students better themselves at being active community members and exhibiting
profound leadership skills. I have the opportunity to be a part of this nationally known
organization.
This organization is important, because of my history with the organization, and also
the role that I have had in my school chapter. In the eighth grade, I received my first
letter, inviting me to the National Junior Honor Society. Invitees had to write an essay
on why the membership would be important; eventually a selected number of honorees
would be chosen. I was not selected as a new member for the society.
My first year in high school, I got another letter, inviting me to become a member. I
again, wrote an essay to convince the society that I should be a member. I did not have
the chance, I was denied. Next year, I received another invitation. After being denied
twice, I was discouraged. I was unsure on whether I wanted to try to persuade the
organization that I was indeed an asset. This time I took a different approach. I wrote
from the heart, and decided not to put down what I thought they would want to hear. I
just let the words come, and answered the essay ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

My first year in the society, I stayed in the background, meaning I just went to the
meetings and the community service opportunities. After a year of doing this, I decided
that it was not enough. In my junior year of high school, I wanted to do more with my
experience. I ran for presidency of my school chapter, and I was elected the first time
around. With this authority I started a special community service project, peer tutoring.
This idea was accepted and was soon brought to the student body and adopted into the
school
Beowulf and Gilgamesh
Comparative English Essay

Compare the Beowulf poet s presentation of the battles with Grendel and his mother with
the Gilgamesh poet s depiction of Gilgamesh battles with Huwawa and the Bull of
Heaven.

Fame and glory have been the most admirable characteristics in the middle Ages and
even before Christ in the ancient civilizations. The epics of Gilgamesh and Beowulf are
stories of heroism and immortality gained through fame. The aim of the main characters,
Beowulf and Gilgamesh, is to be a good warrior by being courageous, respectful and
prudent, a protector and servant to their king (only in the beginning of Beowulf, as he
later becomes king and Gilgamesh already is) and their country. In both poems the fights

Enkidu and Gilgamesh can only win against nature and even gods by cooperating, which
again is a sign of culture. It shows us that a civilization can withstand everything and
even fight the Gods plans.

In the Beowulf poem the battle scenes are described more vividly descriptive and
including a lot of symbolism. The first fight is between Beowulf and Grendel, a fiend
out of hell, [] grim demon haunting the marches, marauding round the heath and the
desolate fens; he had dwelt for a time in misery among the banished monsters, Clain s
clan, whom the Creator had outlawed and condemned as outcasts. (p. 6) Beowulf sets
out to kill this monster in order to achieve fame. He isn t forced to do so, especially as
Grendel doesn t attack the Geats (his clan) but the Danes. Nevertheless Beowulf settles
out to destroy the demon and declares that he will fight Grendel there is a feast: Now I
mean to be a match for Grendel, settle the outcome in single combat. (p. 15) Afterwards
there is a feast in Hereot and at dusk Beowulf prepares for the fight and awaits Grendel
s attack. Then down the brave man lay with his bolster under his head and his whole
company of sea rovers at rest beside him. Beowulf s companions stay at his side and this
is a symbol for their closed circle of society. The Germanic culture is based on the
