Museum – A must have in town

How many of you have visited The Heritage Museum and never wanted to come back? I believe the
fact that we have a museum in our neighbourhood is what makes it special. Although some of you
feel that the government should stop public money going down the drain building museums, I think
they are needed for their educational and historical significance.

To start with, museum displays and relics can clearly depict the lifestyle of our forefathers and the
kind of tools they used to survive. As a result, we would be able to better understand our history and
appreciate the skills and knowledge our past generations have passed on to us.

Most importantly, a museum has a great educational value. Our school has had already arranged over
ten trips to different museums to complete many of our fieldwork projects. I am sure, if museums did
not exist, a lot of art students would have a hard time collecting information to do their course work
assignments.

In conclusion, I firmly believe, like many of you, that museums are vital not only for our studies, but
also for every individual living in any town as they help us learn about our lineages and catch a
glimpse of what life was like back then.

Rhetorical Question Exercise

Hint: After you change the topic into a rhetorical question, take a stand and start your second
sentence. This means that if you support it, you should write a sentence in favour and vice versa.
Change the following ideas into rhetorical questions and add one more sentence.

1. The school is in need of a new science lab.

2. I want to spend a day with a famous person. It would be awesome.

3. The school is going to reduce our sports classes. It would be disastrous.

4. Junk food is everywhere. I wonder if you have eaten any homemade food.
