WHY IS MENTAL HEALTH IMPORTANT?

Mental Health is about how we think, feel or act in a certain situation that we are facing, Mental

Health is a known issue for everybody since it also determines how we will handle stress and make

healthy choices. All of us are aware of mental health since it is part of our life from childhood,

adolescence, and adulthood.

It is very important to have a positive mindset in this difficult situation especially when the

pandemic strikes and the lockdown starts, most everyone that suffers from depression leads them to

make a wrong decision or more, take their own life. Pandemic has caused loneliness, job loss,

isolation, financial instability, and grief that eventually leads to mental illnesses such as anxiety,

depression, etc. Moreover, people nowadays think that there is no solution in every difficult situation

and is very hard to live in this world, especially those people who are suffering from poverty, instead

of thinking how to survive they will act opposite.

However, to maintain good mental health we need to take care of ourselves by prioritizing our

sleep and rest daily, exercising regularly, practicing meditation, keeping in touch with our loved ones

and having a positive outlook in life.

To summarize, mental health is no joke, and it takes its victims prisoner. We need to take care of our

mental health in change of the better future ahead of us. As I mentioned earlier, it is very important to

have a positive mindset in times of difficulties because it helps us to view life more positively at the

same time it helps us achieve our goals in life. Let us be more aware that sometimes it is okay to not

be okay and it is perfectly fine to feel frustrated, annoyed, and anxious. Know that your feelings are

valid.
