My Initial Expectation Paper
My initial expectation of this class was that I would learn how to sing. It was my
belief that learning how to sing well can prepare me for the various aspects of
performing on stage before a large audience. In addition, many people to see and
admire the vocal and physical aspect of my performance. This class has by far met all
my expectations by even though I do not sound like a famous RnB singer this class has
truly helped me. I feel a lot more confident in my voice granted that I use to think that
my voice was one of the most terrible things that I ve ever had the unfortunate pleasure of
hearing.
Some challenges that I had to face along the way in the process of developing my
musical theatre voice was getting the right pitch and articulation for the song ... Show

I was worried about how the class heard my vocals and my delivery. I am not terrible,
but it is something that I have always struggled with. However, I have realized that
when I started doing the vocal warm ups more often my pitch got better. As my pitch
developed I started to learn how to access my diaphragm. The vocal warm ups have
been helping me work on my weaknesses. I have also learned that breathing is one of
the most valuable things that I can do to help develop my voice to the place where I
want it to be.
The most enjoyable song for me was the song that I chose as my audition song
Favorite Places. It was one of my favorite songs to do because it fitted with my voice.
It was a song that I felt comfortable with and it spoke to me. The story of a man who
has aspirations to be in places that he has always dreamed of but does not know how to
get there or even get what he want no matter how bad he may want it. In addition,
things are not working in his favor so he fantasies about how wonderful it would be to
be there and not where he is
Effect of Climate Change on Animals Essay
We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but
they do not suffer less because they have no words (Anna Sewell). There is undeniable
evidence that animals are being affected by climate change. Even though the effects are
difficult to measure, there are many different ways animals are being affected. With the
loss of predator and prey species it affects the life cycles in the food chain. The earth s
climate changecauses habitats such as snow, ice, or forest areas to alter, resulting in loss
of habitat and food accessibility as well as causing extinction. Global warmingis the name
given to the increase in the earth s surface temperature. It is caused by the collection of
greenhouse gases, carbon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While floods cause pollution in water that can damage plants and habitat it also washes
away nutrients that are important for plant growth (Arctic Climate Change). Too little
water such as during a drought can cause plant and animal life to die, altering the food
chain and ruining the pattern.
Habitat loss is one of the most evident effects of climate change on animals. Forests, as
well as deserts support many forms of life. It is the home of insects and animals like
bears, and birds. If forests will be cleared out for the development of land for families,
business and farming purposes, animals will loose their homes and food. Because of
deforestation, many of the trees and the other plants that provide food to the
herbivorous animals will get extinct at a faster speed. Droughts caused by global
warming could dry up 90 percent of central U.S. wetlands, eliminating essential
breeding habitat for ducks, geese and other traveling species (National Wildlife
Federation). Climate change is the main reason to wildlife s survival and putting natural
resources in danger. The change in temperature caused by global warming has many
effects on the habitats of animals. The melting ice will cause the loss of habitat for
species such as the polar bears, penguins, and seals. The arctic ice that is melting makes
it difficult for polar bears to hunt. Warmer water will also cause the population of fish
such as trout
