NARRATIVE TEXT
INTRODUCTION
Narrative text is a form of writing that tells a story
or describes a sequence of events. It often includes
characters, a setting, and a plot that unfolds over
time. This type of text is commonly found in
literature, such as novels, short stories, and folktales.
Narrative texts are designed to entertain, engage, and
create an emotional connection with the reader.
LET’S PRACTICE

1. Write a narrative that retells classic fairy


tales but with a modern twist according to
your own story in 6 paragraphs...
2. Read the following paragraph and
continue the story with a suitable ending:
"I woke up to the sound of heavy rain
outside. It was the day of the big race, and
I'd been training for months. As I got ready,
my heart raced with anticipation. I arrived
at the race track, the rain beating down
hard against my umbrella. Then, the
starter's pistol fired, and I took off in a
blur of determination..."
3. Write a narrative story about someone
who wakes up in a completely different
period, for example, the past or the future
in 3 paragraphs...
