The urine culture and sensitivity test of a 27-year-old female showed over 100,000 colony forming units per ml of Escherichia coli. The E. coli was sensitive to amikacin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, fosfomycin, gentamicin, meropenem, nitrofurantoin, and piperacillin-tazobactam but resistant to ampicillin, cefixime, ceftriaxone, cefuroxime, and levofloxacin. The urine deposit contained numerous pus cells per high power field.
