ENGLISH BOND

INTRODUCTION
English Bond is meaning as brick bond having a stretchers course and header
course that placed alternatively one over the other.The joins between the
stretchers are centred on the headers in the course below.English bond is widely
used because this english bond is most strongest bonds and its provides very
good strength.However, this english bond needs more facing bricks.The queen
closer put just next to the queen header to develop the face lap.

1.BRICK TROWEL
Used to to mixing the mortal and helped to apply the mortal in bricks and
levelling on the bricks.Brick trowel a tool with a large, flat retangulara blade,
with a handle and used to smooth surface.
2.MARKING GAUGE
Marking gauge helps to to scribe a line parallel to a reference edge of surface.Its
is used in joinery and and sheetmetal operation.

3.spirit level
Spirit level is a bubble level that designed for indicate whether the surface
horinzontal or vertical.

4.bucket
Bucket helps to fill the mortal and keep the mortal during working progress.

5.WOODEN FLOAT
Wooden float help to place the bricks in a straight line.

6.showel
Showel helps to mix and lift the showel in bucket.
Materials

3. lime chalk

Procedure
STEP1:Take 23 bricks and 2 half bricks.
STEP 2: We should mix the mortal by adding water and lime chalk.Make sure
the water level that we add is equal to the amount of mortal that we take and
should be right amount lime chalk were mixed in mortal.

STEP3: Fil the mortal in the bucket that already mixed with the water and lime
chalk.
STEP4:By using the brick trowers, apply the base level of the mortal before
place the bricks that you already have.
STEP5:Place the brick on mortal that apply for the first level.Make sure the
brick are must be in straight when placing the bricks for the first level.

STEP6:by using the marking gauge, we should check whether the brick were
placed in correct position and stabil height.After that, by using the spirit level
we should check the bricks whether the brick is levelled or not.If the brick were
not levelled, by using the brick trower to tap softly until its become levelled.
Step7:for following bricks we should follow the step 3 to step 7 to get a strong
English bond.

Step8:after finished all the steps, make sure the place and your English bond
looks as cleas as possible to make your English bond even more better and
clean.

In conclusion, English bond is brick bond that is most strongest .English bond
consists of alternate course of headers and stretchers. In headers course just
before the quoion header, a quoin closer is placed and rest of the bricks are laid
as headers.Finally, I understand about the basic of construction process in
making English bond work steps.
