Letter of Intent

I am Shubham Sharma. I was born on 12th June 1994 in the beautiful town of Dharamshala
in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. We are four members in my family, my father
Mr Sanjeev Sharma works for the Government of INDIA in the Railways department, My
Mother Mrs Anita Sharma is a homemaker and my younger brother is working in a Private
Company as Sales Executive. I am Unmarried yet and I have no intentions of doing the same
in the near future. As I want to study further in one of the best Universities in the world.

I have done my graduation in B.Sc. From Government Degree College Dharamshala under
the University of Himachal Pradesh with an Overall CGPA of 6.51, I have recently scored
Overall- 7.0 bands in my IELTS examination. I have work experience of more than 4 years
as Senior Sales Executive at Pluto Tours World Holidays Pvt. Ltd. Situated at Dharamshala.

As it is a widely known fact that Universities in the UK are very prestigious and reputable
which had produced many famous personalities in the history of the world, Alumnus who
had studied in the UK universities are celebrated everywhere. The UK’s universities have a
rich multicultural atmosphere, this has encouraged and motivated me to pursue my master
in the United Kingdom.

I found The University of Central Lancashire, be one of the Best Universities due to several
reasons. Such as, The University has been serving since 1828 and it is one of the Leading
modern Universities in the world. The Campus is Very lively and advanced with the state of
the art Facilities, Many students from different parts of the world are already studying
here. The faculties are heavily experienced and actively involved in the progression of their
respective fields. World Class library with full access to the students where one can focus
on their work without any distractions and the university has won many Times Higher
Education Awards recently which was a catching point for me. At the same time, University
is highly ranked and affordable which makes it exceptionally attractive.

I have a great passion to pursue my M.Sc. in management and international business as I

see a large part of this course as practical and learning more about international business,
which would be very helpful for me to grow in the future and to find a job opportunity with
a higher role in the management of a company or a firm, as my home-town is also a tourist
destination and people from all over the world came here to visit for the mesmerizing
climate, nature and sceneries. Moreover, it is the place where His holiness The Dalai Lama
(spiritual leader of the Buddhist religion) lives. So, It is also an economic zone for the State
where tourism Plays a key part, by studying international business I will be able to enhance
my skill sets and expand the area of opportunities in the subsequent years.
I found a degree in management and international business is more professional according
to my search. It would be relevant for me to go for this management degree as I already
have work experience which will be very helpful to understand the practical aspects of the
course accompanied by international exposure. After completion of my Post-graduation in
Management, I would be able to join a multinational Company or Large Businesses in
industries like Tourism, Trade, Retail, Hospitality or Service sector i.e. Reliance Industries,
TATA group, Thomas Cook, ITC and many more.
