confidence.

Q3. Bring out the ethical issues involved in Jaggu’s behavior.

Jaggu's behavior was totally unethical. He started fictitious complaints against the
production team, humiliated his subordinates, and carried out corrupt activities such as
collaborating with his brother-in-law.

Task 2: Watch the video interview (How to manage the politics in an organization by
Harvard Business Review) and answer the following question (provide your argument)

Question- Is politics in an organization good or bad? What is the best way to manage
organisational politics?

Politics are a part of organizational life, because organizations are made up of different
interests that need to be aligned. In fact, the vast majority of managers surveyed
reported that workplace politics exist in their organization, and a large part felt that in
order to be successful, a person has to engage in politics. In the negative light, saying
that someone is “political” generally stirs up images of back-room dealing, manipulation,
or hidden agendas for personal gain. A person engaging in these types of political
behaviors is said to be engaging in self-serving behavior that is not sanctioned by the
organization.

As can be seen, the use of policy in an organization is relative, and has good
consequences depending on how it is used.

The best way to manage organizational policy is not a specific way, but one that
contains features that are effective and beneficial to the entire organization. These
among many are: Reduce uncertainty in the workplace, be transparent, understand the
informal network step in when necessary, don’t play favorites, listen to the direction the
winds blow or learn the terrain.
