SOLUTION COMPONENTS
1. Live scan enrollment station comprising of an Android tab/phone with cameras,
and face track App. These will be used to capture face photos and extract unique
face features.

2. Verification system comprising an Android tab/phone. This will be used by the

lecturers to scan the students’ faces while in lecture halls and will be linked to
the student information management system where it will have the time and
date stamps of when the scan happened. This is effectively the time and
attendance system. Alternatively, the system cam be mounted on a stand and
placed at the entrance of the lecture hall.

3. A central repository with all students data that can be remotely accessed by any
authorized person.

WHAT IS BIOSIM?
Uses the face as the unique biometric identifier
HOW IT WORKS
• All students will be enrolled into the system

• This involves the capture of facial photo and Biodata

• A student biometric file is then created using this information

• Professor/lecturer will login using his credentials and face (this is essentially a time and attendance for the teaching staff)

• As students enter the lecture hall, they simply look at the camera or the professor passes it around the class for the students to check in by themselves.

• Information is sent to the server via mobile network or wifi confirming that the student is indeed present.

• A text message or email is sent to parents of students who are absent (optional)

• View real time events on dashboard displaying which students are present/absent

• Generate reports at will

 Onboard data uses AES encryption, as well as certificates for browser connections.
