Workday Docs:

 Document Template creation application in Workday.

 Alternate to BIRT method for creating doc templates. Workday Docs does not require BIRT.
 Can be created and managed via Workday Drive. User must have access to Workday Drive.

 Workday Docs can be used as part of supported (HCM) business processes only. To use Workday
docs, add & configure the Generate Document Action step in the business process, and select
the required Workday Doc template.
2024R1 change - Workday Docs for Layouts

 Expansion of Workday Docs. Also called Docs for Layouts.

 Docs for Layouts supports advance reports similar to BIRT layouts. Now we can include data
fields from advance reports, which are based on the following RDS.

 Compensation Review
o Compensation Review Employee Adjustment for Statements
 Supplier Remittance
o Payments for Remittance
 Employee Reviews
o Employee Review Printout
 Talent Cards
o Talent Review Documents for Talent Card for Review Printing Run
o Workers for Talent Card for Worker Printing Run
 Invoices
o Customer Invoices for Print Run
o Customer Invoices for Print Run as of Approval Date
o Customer Invoice Printing Run Group
o Dunning Letter Printing Run
o Dunning Letter Printing Run Group

 Docs for Layouts can be managed outside of Workday Drive through following tasks:

 Create Document Layout

 Copy Document Layout
 Edit Document Layout
 View Document Layout

 To use Docs for Layouts, select the document layout in the Business Form Layout, similar to
how we add BIRT layouts to Business Form Layouts.
Limitations of Docs for Layouts
 No task to delete a document layout.
 No option to change the source report of a document layout.
 All document layouts use the Roboto font only.
