Need a good book to read but can’t find the time to go and get to the nearest public library?

Don’t worry about that. I recommend trying the iPusnas app. iPusnas is an online and free
app issued by the National Library that functions just like your average library. The only
difference is that it’s only one click away. All kinds of book with all sorts of genres are all
right there under your finger tips. This app provides e-books that of course could only be
borrowed online with a deadline of seven days for every time you decide to add a book to
your bookshelf.

After a few days using and trying out this app, there are some things that I realize, both good
and bad. First is that it’s really easy to sign yourself up as a member there. And apparently as
time goes by, your status could upgrade itself from newbie into a higher status. It all depends
on how frequently you use the app and how active you are there as well. Of course, you need
to remember to check your email when you first log in because this app’s security system will
activate itself at that time to make sure that it is you who’s currently using the app or else it
won’t let you borrow any books. All other features that are included in the app are also pretty
easy to understand given that it only took me a few minutes to get used to it.

It’s always so much fun searching for books from the book category section. From there and
all the way down to the bottom you can see all sorts of book categories making it easier to
find which book I’m currently in the mood for. Just thinking that a majority of all these books
are made by the locals in our country, carefully censored, treated, and sorted is really nothing
short from amazing. Looking back again, the first book I tried to read and use as a trial to test
out this app was a book that I’m sure all of you locals know of. Tere Liye has always been
one of my go to books from the past and at the time I wanted to borrow one of his books
named ceros and batozar. Sadly, it was on queue so I had to postpone reading it for now. In
replacement for that I read the first book of the series called Gallagher Girls written by Ally
Carter, an American writer. They do in fact include works from other countries as well so to
say which is also interesting in a way. I really enjoyed reading the book. Apart from its
interesting storyline, the three different transitions you can use makes it more comfortable to
read. My favourite was the down transition and the paper curl. It really just depends on the
mood. They also provide you with a bookmark feature that is a real timesaver. You can just
go to the page setting and click on the page you previously left off. Easy.

Overall the app was a blast to use, but we can’t overlook the fact that there were some things
I was confused about. First, the queue feature. I wonder why there are a limited stock for
online books. I mean, it’s online. Surely, it couldn’t be the same like borrowing books offline.
Having this queue feature present makes it harder for me to read books that I’m in the mood
for. Especially if they come from renowned writers like Tere Liye. It also hard to see if we’re
already able to borrow the book since there’s no estimated time for when the borrower is
finished reading it and I’m not sure if there’s a notification for that as well. Another thing is
that it’s a little tricky to find books from the search bar because it won’t show itself if written
by title. On the other hand, if you write the author’s name instead, it’s bound to show up. This
makes it hard to find books there especially if you can only remember books from their titles.
Although I could just search the internet before borrowing in iPusnas, it’s just such a hassle
but yeah I guess that’s it.

But other than that, iPusnas is a really good app for reading and I enjoyed using it these past
few days so get yours now if you’re interested.
