A fresh medical graduate of SIMS/SHL should have following professional and human qualities.
A. Knowledge and understanding of
1. Mechanism of body in health and disease.
2. Knowledge of relevant behavior he has to display with patients, families
3. To diagnose and manage diseases and society.
B. Professional and communication skills
1. To develop excellent communication skills with colleagues doctors, nurses,
paramedical staff and public.
2. To have developed conditioned sympathetic attitude towards ailing humanity.

C. Clinical Skills
He/She should have acquired a desired theoretical and practical level of
competence according to the objectives and goals set up by the medical
college according to the guidance of USH and PMDC.

Competent enough to take relevant history perform clinical examination, interpret
relevant investigation to reach the diagnosis, prescribe the appropriate treatment of
common diseases do the follow up. Play a role in rehabilitation and prevention of
diseases and refer the complicated cases to the concerned specialty

Apply basic ethical principles and demonstrate all the attribute of professionalism

Teach undergraduates, health care providers patients and community effectively
