Products Applications
Senkox produces different types of Senkox HSD ™ Sensor Cables. Each sensor cable has its own unique
specifications. Several sensor cables have the advantage of detecting the location and size of the hot spots.
Others have the ability of withstanding higher abrasions and more extreme conditions. Depending on the desired
application of the user, one sensor cable may be more appropriate to use than the others.

TDS-FS SENKOX
Fuel Storage Temperature Monitoring System

FLOATING-ROOF TANK APPLICATION Elevated temperatures are most likely to occur near the
secondary seal of a floating roof tank, as these are the areas
suffering from high abrasion and the presence of flammable
gases. HSD™ sensors are installed along the secondary seal of
the floating roof tank to provide real-time data regarding
temperature elevations.
Petroleum storage tanks and cryogenic product storage facilities (liquid natural gas, LPG, ethylene, ammonia, etc.) require
sensitive temperature monitoring systems to give ample warning of elevated temperatures prior to combustion. By providing
an advanced notice of rising temperatures, appropriate steps can be taken to prevent a disaster from happening. Senkox
TDS-FS temperature detection system is the ideal solution to fill this role. The TDS-FS system is composed of multiple Senkox HSD

The flexibility of the Senkox HSD™ Sensor cables, allows it to be mounted around the tank. The system provides real-time
temperature monitoring and also detects the precise location of hot spots. As a result, safety personnel have real-time data Ex

Spontaneous combustion has long been recognized as a fire hazard in coal storage facilities such as coal silos and sheds.
These accidents usually begin as “hot spots” generated by oxidation and the poor release of heat deep in the coal silo,
eventually resulting in widespread fires. Therefore, it is imperative to monitor “hot spots” within coal silos. Since coal silos Senkox HSD Sensor
are generally very large in volume, the temperature monitoring system involved has to be composed of distributed sensors
that are able to cover large areas within the silo. Moreover, the temperature sensors must also be very durable to be able to
withstand the stresses of coal loading and unloading.
The Senkox TDS-CS Temperature Monitoring System is specifically designed for temperature monitoring in coal storage
facilities. The TDS-CS system is composed of multiple Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors and accessories; the

COAL CONVEYOR APPLICATION
● Sensors are intrinsically safe, and can be installed in hazardous locations.
● Durable sensors with extra strength protection made to withstand high abrasion and stress. Coal conveyor systems are at risk of fire, either caused by the ignition of transported coal, spontaneous combustion of piled
coal dust, or heat generated by equipment. HSD™ sensors are installed on the side of the conveyor belt or above the idler

TDS-CT SENKOX
Cable Tray Temperature Monitoring System
TECHNOLOGIES INC.
POWER CABLE TRAY APPLICATION HSD ™ sensors are installed on top of the power cables in
the cable tray. Senkox HSD ™ sensors are mounted in a
sinusoidal wave configuration along the tray to maximize
coverage. The Senkox TDS-CT Temperature Detection
System can then detect the real- time temperature, as well
as the location and size of any emerging hot spots.
Power plants and industrial buildings often have miles of power cable and communication cable in cable trays .
Accumulation of heat from overloading, short circuiting, and aging cable often presents a fire hazard that can ultimately lead
to lengthy downtime and large economic loss.
Cable trays are often stacked underground, above the ceiling, or through the walls. As a result, the trays often take tight
turns and are frequently placed in contorted positions. In addition, over time, old trays need to be removed and new trays
added. Therefore, any temperature monitoring system associated with the trays must be durable and flexible to
accommodate these conditions.
Senkox TDS-CT temperature detection system provides an ideal solution for the temperature monitoring of cable trays. The
system is composed of multiple Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors and accessories; the HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Senkox HSD

TDS-TR
TDS-TR SENKOX
Transformer Temperature Monitoring System
TECHNOLOGIES INC.
TRANSFORMER APPLICATION The Senkox HSD ™ sensor is installed on the outer shell of
the transformer by using a magnetic mounting kit. The
Senkox TDS-TR Temperature Detection System can then
detect the real-time temperature, as well as the location of
any emerging hot spots along the entire sensor cable.
Overloading, aging, and poor cable contact can cause a transformer to overheat, often resulting in a fire disaster. As a result,
a temperature monitoring system is the ideal solution to mitigate and prevent such disasters.
Senkox TDS-TR Temperature Detection System offers unparalleled versatility, accuracy, and functionality in
managing transformer fire safety. The Senkox HSD™ sensors can be placed on the surface of the transformer and
provide real-time monitoring of any temperature changes. In addition, the system will locate the position and size
of the emerging hot spot. The Senkox HSD™ sensor cables are flexible, resistant to fatigue, and can be used to Senkox HSD
cover any span of the desired monitoring area. Sensor

REACTOR APPLICATION
HSD ™ Linear sensor is applied on the outer layer of the coal gasifier at certain
interval, allowing for the maximum coverage of the area.
High Temperature Processing Vessels (coal gasifiers, reactor vessels, and induction furnaces) contain inner
shells made of refractory materials. Damages in these refractory materials, such as cracking, degradation, and
flame burner impingement, can cause the vessel’s outer shell to overheat. If not properly maintained, containment
strength may be dangerously reduced, leading up to fatal accidents. By taking utmost care and safety precautions,
such accidents may be prevented. Therefore, regular monitoring of the outer skin temperature of these vessels is
vital in ensuring the safety of facilities. Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors offer ample solution to these
issues.
Senkox HSD™ Linear Hot Spot Detectors can monitor vessel’s outer skin temperature in real-time, effectively
providing data information about localized hot spot, and ultimately preventing potential deterioration of the
refractory lining. Senkox HSD
